Westland call it the seaking and there are many examples of aircraft being called different names for example Grumman wildcat and the Grumman martlet. Douglas Dakota and c47 or even s55 and Westland whirlwind. In westlands it was allways called the seaking. When referring to any american drawings it was always the s61 Hope that helps Rodders I'm sure

I think you will find you are wrong When I worked on the Seaking production line/flight shed in the 70's and 80's all drawings and documents referred to Seaking all one word It was never split into 2 words Rodders PS picture from the walkaround section.

http://www.abpic.co.uk/photo/1043239/ for the full page This is the prototype seaking that was assembled by WHL in 1970 my question is the torpedoes, were they ever used as I cannot see them on any other aircraft. I would suspect that they are American and IIRC they are in the original airfix Seaking with the Apollo markings I have the Revell Seaking MK41 which with a bit of work can be made into a HAS1 I am using the blades from an old Airfix RAF Seaking. Any comments welcome Rodders

Airfix 1/24 Harrier GR3 (OOB)
Rodders154 replied to spike7451's topic in Harrier Single Type Group Build II
I am just about to start this kit as well but I will be doing it as a long term project will be interested in the resin cockpit as well as the revised intakes. My decals are out of register does anyone know of any decals for "fancy" harriers in 1/24 scale Rodders -
One Day Wonder Airfix Tiger Moth
Rodders154 replied to AdrianMF's topic in Training Types Group Build
Lovely kit and you have done it justice. I dont like the way the outer struts are jigged as the plastic is very hard to remove without breaking the strut for inexperienced hands. they really are fragile and the area on the wings that they are glued to is not very large. to my mind a recipe for disaster. I have the Airfix GR1A Harrier in 1/24 scale and I really want to do it as a GR3. Does anybody know of any conversions and decals I know there is a GR3 kit that was released later but I already have the GR1A so it would be a bit daft to buy a complete new kit. Any leads would be greatly appreciated as it would free up stash space if it got built. Rodders

At the Yeovilton show I was told by 2 traders that the Italeri Chickasaw is coming out again 2nd quarter 2014. I haven't herd or seen anything anywhere else but the traders do seem to certain and there were 2 separate conformations. Anyone on here know anything? Rodders
