  7. Looking forward to seeing this build I have seen pictures of the Portuguese one on the net and it does look nice. A few (lots) of years ago I remember taking the photo bus to the display line of the middle wallop air show and the Dutch crickets came into land right beside the bus not more than 20 yards away. And they hovered at the hight of the open deck of the bus. Well done for choosing this lovely little kit. I am sure you will do it proud Rodders

  13. The Revell 1/32 lynx is a great kit except for the main blades which bend down when on the real thing they are rigid. Does anyone know of anyone does after market one? I was thinking of drilling them out and using a metal rod to stop them drooping. I used brass tube when doing the Rotordyne but this is not an option on this kit. Any help greatly appriciated Rodders
  14. Why didnt I see this before hand. Everyone always comments on the speed of my builds Rodders I might do one tomorrow anyway for the hell of it.

  18. Very well done I gave up on the Britavia on years ago. I dont know why there isnot a main stream kit of this aircraft unless it is because of the glazing but you have made an excellent model out of a to my mind a challaging kit. Rodders
  19. Westland Whirlwind HAS9 RNAS CULDROSE SAR Flight 1970's Build here Italeri H19 with Rotorcraft HAS9 Conversion Thanks for looking Rodders
  20. Tis done (or done as far as I'm concerned) I have enjoyed it and to my mind it came out better than I thought it would. Thanks to Colin (heloman1) for producing the coversion I expect that he must feel that all the effort that went into the etch was wasted but it wasnt it is just that I dont have the skills to use it. I have tried etch and failed miserably I was thinking of using the sheet from the other converion I own but decied against it. Anyway Pics Still have time for another for the group build lets get rooting through the stash Rodders
  21. Painting done I was looking through my paints and came across an unused florescent red by Modelair I used field blue from Tamiya and I think it is a good match. The red needed about 4 coats I have to order the flotation gear from whirlybird (thanks for info Fabio) and whilst there I will get the winch as well. I have added the decals which are very good I like the colour scheme a lot I think I will do a Wessex in it next. I have recently purchased the 1/48 scale Italeri one so I might use that one. Still lots to do both main and tail rotors, wheels steps and others details Onwards and upwards Rodders
