  1. It'a a great thing that really fill of happiness my heart to find great friends in a nice place!!! Stay tuned as soon you will watch something not unusual from my bench!!! Cheers, Luis Alfonso
  2. Hi My Friend Jerzy!!! Congratulations for this wonderful masterpiece you have done!!! I was reading a book named HABLA UN AVIADOR DE LA REPÚBLICA = " A REPUBLICAN AVIATOR SPEAKS"...written by Juan Lario Sànchez, a Spanish Republican Aviator who reached the Soviet Union after the SCW ended in 1939 via the Concentration Camps set in France, and in his book made numerous mentions to the GRUMMAN DELFÍN or Dolphin aircraft... It's nice to know this bird by your experimented modeler and scratchbuilder hand, as the subject is highly obscure and in most cases ignored. Wonderful work!!! Thank you very much for sharing!!! Cheers, Luis Alfonso
  3. Hi My Friend Jerzy!!! It's a great pleasure to watch your masterpieces again!!! We were talking with Mario about you and as both of us have lost tracking your activity. I was looking since some days ago but was looking for JRW...until tonight has watched for your name and found your well known nick..., but after all, I am happy to find you again and is nice to know by the things here you are well and continue working your usual way. Will see form the start what are you going to build here to understand better what are your goal. Thank you very much for sharing and continue making the things here at the Old Fashioned School Techniques. Cheers!!! Luis Alfonso
  4. Hi My Friend Roman!!! Thank you very much for sharing your nice discoveries, for sure more than one will replicate your great job here showed, and it will be a pleasure to try make it hoping the result will be nicer as yours!!! I was wondering if this paint scheme could be used on another Italian aircraft and if it was only confined to this colors used by yours here??? Cheers, Luis Alfonso.
  5. Hi My Friend Roman!!! Congratulations!!! Think we have another masterpiece here from RomanSpecial Projects Works!!! I like the way you have handled the bird's camouflage, like a huge lot the weathering and details in this bird. Anyway, any fixings you will have to do think won't be too much difficult, so anyway even with mishaps (as you said), it does not detract from the effort and the courage to enter into a very peculiar scheme that many of us would like to imitate. It would have been nice if you could share a tutorial dealing with that job, watching this out of series for sure encourage us to think seriously go for a model like the one you present here. Maybe you can share interiorities of this camouflage, peculiarities of use, color variants and perhaps other types of aircraft where it was used. I think you're going to be a great animator at Bella Italia in 2019. Thanks for sharing! Cheers, Luis Alfonso
  6. Hi My Friend Roman!!! Finally after sorting a lot of trouble can reach the place to watch this last gem you have created... Congratulations for this last masterpiece you have done!!! I was watching Black 6 with its nice grey camouflage, this one is a great build, but think that even though you said the Gigi tre Osei badge is lighter than would be, really the very best of both and for me, the better of the two is Black 7!!! I like the aircraft a huge lot and think that building this one for sure would choose the very attractive and wonderful cammo you chose!!! Also, liked a huge lot the soft weathering you have used in this build, specially the way this effect looks in the very clear colors, without a doubt when have the pleasure to try my hand in a build of this aircraft yours will be the mandatory reference to try to get a nice model. Thank you very much for sharing!!! Cheers, Luis Alfonso
  7. Hi My Dear Friend Roman!!! Have arrived, late but arrived!!! Congratulations for this little gem you have obtained this time. I think personally that, apart of the ANR 109 and the Romanian 109, you have a lot of dexterity and plentiful of talent when speaking about the russian birds. This one could be a simple and nice kit but you have transformed this little kit labeled as Snap and Glue in a true jewel with so added detail and enhanced the kit lines with precious and little detailing, and crowned the build with a little weathering. I have bought the FW 190 A-4 and BF 109 F kits of the series, and for sure want the good guys from Kasperle bring this one here too...and hopefully complete all the series to get those nice kits. The guilty will be you showing this nice masterpiece,so stay tuned about what will happen. Thank you very much for sharing!!! Cheers, Luis Alfonso
  8. Hi My Friend Roman!!! Congratulations for yout new jewel!!! I have watched carefully this one and enjoyed what you have done, a real great job!! I liked a huge lot the weathering and overal results and agree with all the guys above. I have bought some vehicles and was afraid to go into the fray with them as have too much kits started and nothing finished since a long time ago...anyway, your work acts as a motivation tool to make sometyhing in that area to look for something different, and for sure will try and go one of those days and for sure will ask you for something to advice my job. If my results are at least the 30% as good as yours will be happy, but if surpass it, will be more than happy. Thank you very much for sharing, Cheers, Luis Alfonso
  9. Hi My Friend Roman!!! Congratulations for this one!!! I have watched carefully your new masterpiece and really have seen a great source of inspiration here. I liked the great care you have done in the weathering and how it looks in several parts, specially underside and the exhausts, a real great job. Thank you very much for sharing!!! Cheers, Luis Alfonso
  10. Hi My Friend Roman!!! Congratulations for this new masterpiece you have done and share here!!! Seem this lovely kit has behaved very well as have not show any fault and think the job in this one has been a wonderful one. I like a huge lot the way the invasion bands conform the wings and the nice weathering you have got here. Just left me tempted to go for the Israeli Air Force version of the decals to pay tribute to this wonderfun aircraft. Thank you very much for sharing!!! Cheers, Luis Alfonso
  11. Hi Uncle Mario!!! I have found no other words to describe how I really feel as like to look oldies like this one well built, so well built that has no envy to more modern equivalents!!!... Yours here and in other ancient kit builds you have done, the treatment and respect that you have given to the kit, is the one as the same as with a real artisan or handcrafter... Soon will make you some questions about how you got in touch with this bird, and will ask about your route to get success with this one to look if is the same approach I was thinking for a build with this kit. Cheers!!!, Luis Alfonso
  12. Hi My Friend Roman!!! Congratulations for this new gem you added to your nice collection, It's nice to watch this one very well done after a long time!!! When I was looking for some information about the Italian Aircraft of WW II, have found some old Squadron books and only the Part II of the more mordern (1990's) Squadron books reference, but watching and enjoying this one, have got some appreciation about those valiant warriors fighthing in this side of the battle...and when watched advertised the Aviation Usk decals dealing with some of the subjects.without doubt went after that. When I bought the two sets of Aviation USK decals a long time ago together with some other things, have never dreamed with the idea of knowing another modeler, and a not italian one, that was really a very ardent fan of the ANR birds!!! Seem I have something in common with all my modeling friends and in this case it was a great pleasure to share info and decals for you, and contribute to reach your goals increasing your nice ANR birds collection It was a nice story how to move the Aviation Usk Decal sheet from this side of the pond to the other, and looking for something I wanted not realted with ANR have found a German Seller at Ebay selling this old but very valuable book closer to you...it was your luck and it was your lucky day!!!. I like a huge lot the nice result you obtained with nice ideas and techniques to try my hand too. I liked a huge lot how you tackle this build, you really put in it passion, blood, sweat and tears... And after all, obtained a first class build...will you share it in SAMI My Friend???...Hope when I do mines will look at least a 30% wonderful as yours!!! Thank you very much for sharing!!! Luis Alfonso
  13. Hi Uncle Mario!!! Congtratulations for this lovely masterpiece you have got from this oldie...Nice rendition to this great and significant bird you have done!!! I have two in my stash and was wondering what to do with them, and got the right answser: Build them!! Here you have made a great build with this kit, the kit has a great profile and accurate outline with an accurately representation of the navy Corsair II wheels, the only one before the ESCI/ERTL/AMT/ACE and Fujimi kits of navy versions appeared. The only drawbacks are the sin of being an old mould and being a kit labeled by many as good for its time, then ancient, now archaic and tomorrow as obsolete...but as you probed here, is a workable platform to get a great build of an A or B model Corsair II. I liked a lot the way you have treated the kit, with this special lights and shadows, liked a lot the weathering you have done here, and overall presentation. For sure, a source of inspiration. When I will take the kit to the bench hope to gat at least one finished model at least 50% as wonderful as yours and will be very well rewarded. Thank you very much for sharing!!! Cheers, Luis Alfonso
  14. Hi My Friend Roman!!! Congtratulations for this new masterpiece. As I have understood since have read reviews and watched the sprues that belong to this kit, building this one is like a nice trip as the parts seem like build a real one with wing spars and lots of detail packed in this box. But as usual, even though ther kit is a great sample of perfection, here you have made a great build too. Nice rendition to this great and significant bird you have done in RAF colors, and think you have researched well the subject by the level of detail you have added. I liked a lot the way you have treated the kit, with this special lights and shadows, liked a lot the weathering you have done here and the way the D Day bands look. Thank you very much for sharing!!! Cheers, Luis Alfonso
  15. Hi My Friend Roman!!! Congtratulations for this masterpiece. Here you have made a great build with this kit. Nice rendition to this great and significant bird you have done!!! I liked a lot the way you have treated the kit, with this special lights and shadows, liked a lot the weathering you have done here. Thank you very much for sharing!!! Cheers, Luis Alfonso
  16. Hi Again My Friend Roman!!! Congratulations for this masterpiece!!! I was watching this gem and liked a huge lot the way you have done it, great close colors, attention to details and the soft weathering you have got for this build, but the most liked me is the way you have matched the nose square colors with the spinner ones...great achivement!!! Have you used the red/yellow squares the kit decal provides??? I have been looking in my stash for this kit just to watch carefully at this one and for checking the kit decals, and looks like this one is really a gem of a kit with a lot of detais that deserves a great build as you have done here. BTW seem this is one of those strange cases in which you have used kit decals instead of aftermarket ones. Thank you very much for sharing!!! Cheers, Luis Alfonso
  17. Hi My Friend Roman!!! Congratulations for this wonderful gem of a build, a real professional build with a hugely difficult kit. This one is a very challenging kit and yours is a proof that with a lot of love, elbow grease and patience is possible to reach the shores after a very stormy trip with rough seas and any class of problems on the way. I have heard a friend of mine that ussually imports here from Hannant's about this kit but even though he is a professional builder with a huge lot of time and models in his belt, he refused when another modeling pal from the other side of the pond warned him, and opted for a P-400 kit instead. I like a huge lot how you painted and weathered this bird, and in overall, the way how she looks very well ended. Thank you very much for sharing!!! Cheers, Luis Alfonso
  18. Hi Neil!!! Have enjoyed the nice WIP and really you have done a great work turning this old lady into a great and lovely princess!!! Thank you very much for your kindness and help. Cheers, Luis Alfonso
  19. Hi Neil!!! Lovely work you have done turning this kit into a masterpiece!!! Have enjoyed the way you did your work, is not a gem of a kit but you did a nice labour of love with this very difficult to find oldie. Thank you very much for sharing!!! Cheers, Luis Alfonso
  20. Hi Uncle Mario!!! Check your messenger ASAP.... seem have something for you to help. I know someone here to sell Vallejo Paints, and as is Closer Friend with Karina (She has learned how to paint Miniatures with him in THREE HOURS.... ) ask her if she can ask her friend about color equivalents in FS numbers, then can go for other brands looking this system numeration.- Cheers, Luis Alfonso
  21. Hi My Dear Friend Roman!!! Congratulations for this new build you share with us!!! For me, the word to describe this one, is IMPRESSIVE!!! Have watched your delicate job in this materpiece and think the model is wonderful but very demanding in construction with that all parts peculiar to this version. I have been looking with enough time for the details of the build, particularly the rocket installation and the engine fan....really impressive the way you have handled the parts and how you put exactly in its place. Also liked a lot the way you have finished this bird with this colorful Cammo and the light weathering you have done there where is necessary to give life to the build. Really an impressive build to follow as hoe to deal with kits like this one. Thank you very much for sharing, Cheers, Luis Alfonso
  22. Hi Paul!!! Thank you very much for your kind answer, would you be so kind to tell me how I can do to know your decals sheets available for sell, look and buy them??? Thank you very much for sharing!!! Cheers, Luis Alfonso
  23. Hi Neil!!! Congratulations for this great vac build!!! You are so fortunate to have this one and had taken the great chance to make a masterpiece with her. It's nice and highly inspiring to take something vac and get some of your magic and have a go with a kit. Would you be so kind to share the link to the WIP???...seem an interesting work to be taken and enjoyed. Thank you very much for sharing!!! Cheers, Luis Alfonso
