  1. Similar schemes were found on 87Sqn Hurricanes that were repainted in day fighter colours before Dieppe.
  2. It would be a shame to have a single piece canopy hide that lovely cockpit.
  3. I would take grab of those luft 46 ones if the price was right
  4. I'm willing to bet both of those will be big sellers in 1:48
  5. Makes sense, that will make them the 5th company to rebox it while tamiya has their tooling just sitting there.
  6. Those cockpit walls are going to be a bitch to paint, I consider myself a 109 guy and this doesnt excite me.
  7. count me in for one of these, anything Italian with a Daimler Benz engine gets an A+ in the looks department.
  8. It looks like not even Airfix thought that this boxing would take off like it did. Its great news for the company and the hobby in general.
  9. Looks like a pretty fine wurger to me. I'm surprised to read you eye balled the rlm colours, they look great All the best.
  10. That is some of the tightest camo work I have ever seen
  11. Print my own on a decal sheet you say? that makes sense
  12. Is there a sheet for making your own serials for German aircraft? wanting to do something with Revells new single seat Me262 but they dont have the werk number for 130017 supplied. if not how do people go about it? Cheers,
  13. I'll be keen for a reboxing of the 1:48 Mc202 or 205 but i'll take 1:72
  14. Hi all, Just cracked into the Cyber Hobby boxing of Trimasters Me262A-1/U4 and was pondering about the possible colours used on it. According to the production log it spend time as a Standard A-1a before becoming V083 and it looks like it was built around Oct 44 as it was flying in early November. The production batch seems to be a bit of a mish mash of types, some being 2 seaters, some ending up as test beds and I cant see a pattern to their paint schemes. Sooo.. I wonder what the chances are of it actually being RLM 74/75 on the upper side and had its nose repainted (or maybe the whole thing) later on. So does anyone know when RLM 81/82 started coming through the lines at the Me262 assembly points?
  15. Hi all. I'm starting to get into armour and am interested in adding a ww2 Pershing to the build pile but, I know next to nothing about the sub types and where to start. So I'm hoping one of the Hobby boss kits will do the job out of the box. I'm not so much interested in the super pershing but rather one of the 20 that reached Europe in 45. So can one of the HB Pershing kits build an ETO T26E3 OOB? Cheers Travis
  16. Awesome, thanks for the help guys, I think I will rule out EN572 and go for a slightly later build thats more likely to be a straight IXc rather than possibly been converted. I guess if I get get Xtradecals RAF 24 Inch letters in sky (maybe the 30 inch if need be) and the 4inch serials in black I can make my mind up at a later date.
  17. Thanks for that, I should have realised that it was Chalky Whites plane. I have 'pilot on the run' but all my books are in storage as we are building a new house atm, I also have the New Zealand Spitfire Story and a couple of 485 Squadron books plus pilot bios, so hopefully that will suffice when the time comes. I'm happy to build a plane that was just a general squadron work horse, I'm not worried about flashy markings just keen to have one that fits the revell kits lumps and bumps.
  18. I was eyeing up the Brengun Yak for my 1:72 case, now I might have to look into it more.
