  1. While I'm happy with my elderly Tamiya Bs for now I'd love a print of that boxart.
  2. First time finding a stash at a second hand shop, They weren't "free" but they cost me close to half of local retail. There were about 40 kits all up all 48th WW2 all Tamiya, Eduard, Hasegawa, Accurate Miniature reboxings, and many were 2023 releases.
  3. Hi all, quick question. How common was the use of wooden plank in luftwaffe revetments? Specifically later in the war when they were using more concealment in tree lines and along the autobahn. Model dioramas would suggest quite alot.. But the only use I can find is a couple Battle of Britain 109Es and some in Finland and Norway due to the snow and ice (including a very interesting honeycomb style) Are there photos of Luftwaffe fighters in 1944-45 using this type of revetment?
  4. Tamiya figure set are default purchases for me, they are always worth it. The MG team will make for a great little vignette.
  5. I watched the first two and quite enjoyed them. Granted I'm also not sitting there looking for something to dislike, I'm just treating like entertainment for the general masses. There were very nice touches too like the bombers and crews are fresh so they arent covered in nose art, the flight uniforms are clean, and the ground crew were still painting on unit markings before the second mission. They even had a control van and "follow me" jeep which you dont often see. I'll admit the physics looked a bit strange on take off, it did seem like they floated into the air with a full load of fuel and bombs. Also the head writer just did an interview on "we have ways" podcast with James Holland and made some good points, The 8th bomber command lost an "Easy Company" worth of men daily, so the story cant be told like it was in Band of Brothers. I'm having fun with it and dont see why anyone else cant.
  6. 16th scale tanks havn't grabbed me so far but this.. this is tempting.
  7. Yes please, put me down for a day fighter but without that weird T-tail. Its my favourite late war design and would look great next to the Ta183
  8. I find the 109K to be the most interesting from a colour perspective (Japos book is a must have if you can find a copy these days) but yeah the offerings in the the first box dont scream "build me" to me personally. Ill be grabbing one at some stage for sure, but probably a weekend box.
  9. Well done, thats a great build, she would be a real head turner on any table. Also the SMS RLM colours are bang on imo, I use their 76 and really like it but stuck with Mr Color for 74/75, now I know I can happily replace them when empty with SMS.
  10. Looks like all we need is the funky Italian seat belts, and maybe open up the wheel wells and shes good to go. I'm more excited by this than the Kotare Spitfire 🤩
  11. Some good offerings, I'll be keen for a 48th 2 seat Skyhawk and the 32nd P40
  12. Cheers, The plan was to use clear rod but New Zealand seems to be out of stock and the slow boat from china would have taken too long for the group build, but future builds will use it.
  13. Hi Team, Currently off work due a to a Cyclone wreaking havoc outside but found time to finish up this. The Academy 1/72 F/A-18C Hornet of VFA-192 Golden Dragons. Built wheels up to save time for a group build, the kit doesnt technically allow for this and there are no lips for the doors to rest on, so its a bit ugly under there (I also dropped an airbrush cup worth of lacquer thinner on the back end which ran under and melted some details and which required some repainting on the top side) Painted in AK Real colors, then weathered with Tamiya dark grey panel liner and Ammo oil brushers, (yeah its rather dirty but there are plenty of photos of Hornets in this condition). The paper the blurred as is printed on is a bit too textured but doesnt look as bad under natural light Cheers
  14. Still teasing the 24th razorback Mustang and the 190A. Looks like the a fair chunk of the 48th hurricane family which is nice, but the 109E? I dont think I've seen a 48th 109E from hobbyboss?
  15. If thats for me, I'm fine with 48th I just think with the small size of the Goblin makes it a perfect candidate for 32nd scale without taking up too much space.
  16. The 109 box says 1:24, but the dimensions match 32nd
  17. ooo those late war german figures look pretty damn good.
  18. I wonder if they will put smoke ring decals in there for the SD sheet, I have the 48th Hase rebox Mc205 with them and while they arent the best I would like to see them in 32nd.
  19. They seem to be selling well which is good to see, I'll have to get in before they sell out. The IIb is a fine choice for me, I have wanted to do a Dieppe hurribomber for a long time, just a shame about the lack of racks and bombs. I'll just keep my eye out for reskit or someone to come along with weapons and updates for the cockpit and exhausts and such.
  20. yes please, the engined variants are the ones ive been waiting for.
  21. Been on my wishlist for new tooling for a number of years so I guess I should put my money where my mouth is... only question now is, will it come with "MIld and Bitter" decals?
  22. I must be in the minority, the MkIII is the only version I'm interested in, just not at that price... I wonder if its dual boxed with the V-1 and a flight stand for that price?
  23. Trop filter, arrester hook, 20mm guns, separate radiator, fuselage and wing sprues... Revell is going to be making Hurris for a long time it seems. While the cockpit detail is pretty soft the price point means it wont sting to bad too add aftermarket, you know there will be plenty coming.
  24. spent roughly 3 years trying to find a tamiya Do335 for a decent price, got the 2 seater last year, looks like I might be in for a single as well 😎
