  1. Hi Paul, you can never have enough Beavers. If you find you need any spares for the Airfix Bevers, then let me know, as I've got a few 'bit boxes' in my stash! Looking forward to seeing your work progressing. Any idea's what schemes you plan to use? Regards Reggie
  2. Hi Barney, There are some wonderful Beaver schemes in use and I'll bet you've been lucky enough to see some corkers in your time. Regards Reggie
  3. Hi JYGuy, how about something like this, DHC overload! Regards Reggie
  4. Hi JYGuy, I've bought the book and waiting until the dark Winter nights to read it! Regards Reggie
  5. Hi JYGuy, I mentioned the mighty Airfix Beaver in the third comment on this very thread and I totally agree it's worthy of mention on this listing. I must have about 40 of 'em in my stash. One can never have enough Beaver. There was a photo I saw many years ago of the Beaver production line, now that would make a fabulous diorama! Regards Reggie
  6. Beavers rule. Hi Goggsy, I have some such shots in my collection. I must dig 'em out when I have some spare time.
  7. Bloody stunning. Can't wait to see your work and I wonder if you'll have an opportunity to take the finished work back to the factory?
  8. Hi Guys n Gals, two interesting Citroens that I spotted a couple of weeks ago in Peel, Isle of Man. The first was a lovely H type van, earning it's keep. I don't know if the van, or the owner was called Flo. Then a matter of a few minutes later I heard this beast coming down the road, so flagged the driver down for a couple of shots. It's not everyday that you see a 1920's Citroen racing car being driven on the road is it?
  9. Hi There, beautiful work, as ever. I visited the Isle of Man transport museum last week and found this beautiful combination, in case you fancy building another one! Go on, you know you want to!
  10. Hi Guys n Gals, well smart. I remember seeing a German Canberra in Orange, years ago at an airshow, maybe Greenham Common?
  11. Hi Guys n Gals, just watched the Ginetta Junior Cup racing on the telly, from Knock Hill. Bloomin' brilliant!
  12. Hi Radleigh, I've been lucky enough to have some YAK airtime and they're a magnificent beast of an aircraft. Shame the weather wasn't as good as when you took to the air.
  13. Hi Vontrips, the Dax is a cracking machine, go on, you know you want too!
  14. Hi Rick, totally agree with you, I rode one once and it was an experience not to repeat.
  15. Hi Ashley, well that's one thread I'd be keen to follow. I used to follow UK Rallying back in the late '70's, early '80's, and consider was lucky enough to be around when the sport was at it's very best. The noise of a Stratos, barking it's way through a forrest stage, at night, had to be heard to be believed! A friend of mine owns a none Turbo quattro coupe, we were leaving an airfield where there was an exotic car driving day taking place and we floored it and every single person there turned around and smiled in appreciation. Great day.
  16. Hey Ashley, those Stratii are very nice but that SWB Audi S1 gets my blood flowing like no other car ever built, they're my absolute all-time favourite car ever built. Ahhhhhhhhh.
  17. Hi Guys n Gals, I've received an e-mail from Airfix - Dear Stuart Martindale Thank you for your interest in the KitStarter project below. Unfortunately this project was unsuccessful in reaching its support level target for it to go back into production and has now closed. Don't worry you will not be charged and your Pre-Order will be automatically cancelled. Thank you for your interest in KitStarter. Oh well, looks like I'll need to carry on chasing older kits then!
  18. If anyone has any others, or want to part with anything Beaver'ish, then please let me know, as I'm your man.
  19. Hi There, I must admit that the quality of the work is fabulous but, to my taste (and I'm sure I'll be the odd one out here) I reckon the car itself is simply ugly and there are much more pretty designs out there. However, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and how can I really comment when I reckon the DHC-2 Beaver's a beautiful machine? This takes nothing away from the craft and skills shown in the build, I could only dream about creating something built to such standards.
  20. Hi Roy, now if they did an Escort mk1 RS, an Audi Quattro (long or short) or a Lancia Stratos, then I'd sign up.
  21. Hi There, I can honestly say that I've always made my requests when visiting the museum and have nothing but praise for the way that Barry, Dianne and all or the volunteers have granted me assistance. Fine folk and the reason I joined as a member was because of their attitude towards us photographers. It's over 100 miles from my home but when I'm heading South, and have any spare time, I always pop in to see 'em.
