Many have decals that have faded to death, so I've got; Royal Canadian Mounted Police set 1/72 scale LN decals set in 1/72nd scale & 1/48th scale, for both Beavers and Otters Max Decals Part 2 of the Antarctic set 1/72 scale Looking for others, especially Antarctic, or civilian, or any test pilot sets anyone may have for sale. So I admit to being a Beaverholic! I reckon I'm going to need a bigger hangar. Regards Reggie

  5. Hi Lieuwe, well I reckon she looks lovely. Regards Reggie
  6. Hi Wally, that's a little beaut. Regards Reggie
  7. Hi Busdriver, it reminds me of many years ago, when we were at the Bolton Technical College. The weather was pooring down and one of the lads had a leaking shoe, so I lent him my spare trainers and he put his shoes in one of the lab kilns (which warm to very mild temps and upwards). We checked after about an hour and they were almost dry, so he decided to leave them there until lunch. All was fine until about an hour later, when the fire alarms went off and we all vacated the building. Yep you've guessed it, his shoes had gone up in smoke! It turned out that one of the lab techs had gone into the lab and turned up the kilns, without checking if anything was in there first and they just burst into flames. We couldn't do anything for laughing and his folks wondered why he'd returned home with a new pair of trainers!
  8. Well I can only repeat what the previous members have said, she's simply a stunning build, of my favorite ever jet airliner. Well done that man! Regards Reggie
  9. Mornin' Guys n Gals, I'm a simple man, with simple tastes. All I want is the return of the mighty Beaver (1/72) and a civvy Super VC10 (1/72). Not asking a lot. Regards Reggie
  10. Hi Carl, well done that man. When I did mine I talked myself through the whole process, giving a running commentary. Regards Reggie
  11. Hi Rich, some was done at Blackpool. I remember they filmed a winter scene, in the middle of summer, complete with simulated snow etc. Regards Reggie
  12. Hello Mr Airfix, I'm easily pleased, all I want for Christmas is for the return of the mighty Beaver! I'd be happy with the old 1/72nd I'd be well chuffed with new tool 1/72nd a 1/48nd, would blow me away and, if you'd do a 1/32nd I'd see my wages being sent directly to you If a 1/24th kit came out, I'd die and go to heaven a happy man! Regards Reggie
  13. Hi WIP, could you post the details of the vendors, as I had a business card from them but lost it on one of the stands? Regards Reggie
  14. Hi Guys n Gals, did anyone see the fabulous Airfix Gnat art work on display at Telford? It was stunning! The scheme was all over silver with orange tanks, outer wings and tail, it was lovely. Regards Reggie
  15. Hi Guys, for me the VC10's way ahead in the looks aspect. Somewhere though, this is a photograph of me hugging a B58 Hustler, I must find it one day! Regards Reggie
  16. Good Morning, I must admit that I find the A380 so ugly that I don't even photograph it. It just looks wrong. The 747SP was my own favourite version of the range. However give me a VC10 anyday! Regards Reggie
  17. Good evening Chaps n Chapesses, I've go absolutely no experience in the mysterious art of the construction, filling, bonding, finishing and painting of metal kits. I have a couple of delightful 1/200th scale aircraft (both which I've flown), which are extremely small but absolutely beautifully crafted. They being a Piper Cub and a DHC-2 Beaver. I'd appreciate any techniques, products, guidance that you can offer. My equipment is none existent, so whatever you come up with, I'll need to buy! So come on then, what do you suggest (apart from an illuminated magnification device)? Thanks in advance for any replies. Regards Reggie AKA The Cameraman
  18. Evening Guys n Gals, well this is a bit of a change from a 'mate in the know' who mentioned to me that some were going over to India. Time will tell. Regards Reggie
