  1. Wonderful model and figure. I reckon that Valle's been on the pasta a bit! The machine pose is exactly what I'd expect from an Elsie.
  2. Hi There, this is always a stand I like to visit at Telford, as each time I've attended, I've been able to increase my Airfix Beaver stash here!
  3. Hi Guys n Gals, I log onto this thread daily to look for progress, and every time there has been it leaves me simply amazed at the ingenuity and quality of the work. It will be a great, but sad day, when it's complete!
  4. Hi Pete, we've got one at work and it makes for a really comfortable way of inspecting our grass runways. I was under the impression it's a re-badged Mitsubishi L200? And as for why, well it's built on the same production line but is a lot cheaper!
  5. Hi Guys n Gals, whilst riding to work yesterday morning, I passed a lovely white, 1976, Ford Granada. I remember them as being a massive car but it shows just how much larger cars have become! Regards Reggie
  6. Hi Guys n Gals, I've really enjoyed reading this thread. Those that know me won't be surprised to find that I have a single Frog kit in my stash and it's a DHC-2 Beaver. Bit of an odd scale, something like 1/80'th but any Beaver will do. Regards Reggie
  7. Hi Stew, I just looked at the link and my first thought was 'What a fabulous flying boat', and as I continued to look at the images my next thought was 'How the heck can anyone paint 1/72 scale figures to that level!'.
  8. Hi Glyn, you can't beat a Beaver. I wonder how you got on in handling the brittle, clear plastic fuselage, where you just mask up the windows etc, as I just couldn't get my head around the type of plastic, so I stick with the Airfix options?
  9. Hi Neil, yep I've got the book and there's some interesting stuff. I also went to the Coventry Transport Museum a few years back and saw a display showing where the filming was done through the drains! It's one of my all time favourite films, my list being - The Italian Job The Battle of Britain The Blues Brothers The Dam Busters Strategic Air Command Le Mans Grand Prix Any of these films I will happily watch in full if they're; a- on the telly b- I find the DVD whilst tidying up c- someone like you creates a thread like this!
  10. Hi Neil, well thank you very much! I've had 'man flu' for a couple of days and keep waking up at odd hours, logging on and taking a quick look at the site and I found this thread. Everything was OK until I saw your link to the titles of my all time favourite film so, I just had to watch it! Of course I then had to dig out my copy of the DVD and watch the whole film for a gazillienth time and I'm now even more tired than I was and it's getting on for 3am, I'm due to rise for work at 5:20, so thanks mate! I'll have to wait until tomorrow to view the rest of your thread, on the build of this iconic machine.
  11. Hi Stever, I can honestly say that on every visit that I've made to Cosford that the staff have been most accommodating to my photographic requests and have been the polar opposite to my findings of the cretins at Hendon! May Cosford keep up their great standards and leave Hendon to do things their own way. I was sad not being able to attend this tenth anniversary event but sounds like everyone appreciated the efforts of the staff,
  12. Hi Aaron, that is a thing of beauty. Magnificent work.
  13. Hi There, I haven't done the show but the air museum's great! All of my trips to Norway have been wonderful and I wouldn't hesitate in returning (if I had enough dosh in my wallet).
  14. Hi Simon, my great mate Bryan Ribbans runs that wonderful site, packed with info.
  15. Hi Guys n Gals, well despite being almost 40 years since I built a kit, the temptation to grab an Airfix Beaver, from my stash, is just too strong! So please count me in with a Wet Beaver, more than likely in civvy markings. Along the way I'll be asking loads of questions, as I don't have a clue about what I'm doing but it'll be fun, and a very steep learning curve! Never used modern glues, so don't know what's used where and when! Never used an airbrush. Don't even know what fillers should be used. It may end up as a total pigs ear but I have to start somewhere. My great mate Gary Styles posts on here so I'm sure he'll be there to guide me. Roll on September 2017.
  16. Hi T7 Models, yeah you're so right!
  17. Hi Guys n Gals, it's impossible to have enough Beavers in one's stash!
  18. Hi There, I too was unable to view the link.
  19. Hi Paul, cool, let's see 'em when you're ready. Regards Reggie
