Update from Lima Novemvber Decals
The Cameraman replied to rhusberg's topic in Modern - 1969 and onwards
Hi Ruben, I don't suppose you'll be bringing any new 1/72 scale Beaver decals to Telford will you? Regards Reggie -
You can't blame Cosford for the scrapping of the VC10 that was previously there, as it was part of a civilian aircraft collection, that was on display but they had no control over. Regards Reggie

Hi There, cracking images taken in a fantastic building, with plenty of light. Just what we want! Regards Reggie

Hi Guys n Gals, I ride bikes everyday of my life. I started with a Honda SS50, back in 1978, as a sixteen year old and at 17 progressed to a lovely little Kawasaki KE175. This I replaced in 1982, with a new Yamaha XT250. From then on things started to get bigger including BMW F650's, R1100's, R1200GS's and then in 2005 I down sized to a new Yamaha XT250 Serow. I avaerage around 25,000 miles per year on my trusty little trail bikes. I've even had a BMW C1 scooter with a roof, which was as mad as a box of frogs but bloody good fun. I used to work in the motorcycle trade and becasue of my experience I always got to 'break in' the latest bikes ready for customer or demonstation use, so I've ridden many different types and makes of bikes. I'm not into the sports bikes, as a combination of being short in stature and with short legs, doesn't really suit them. There are two bikes that I absolutely loved to ride but I was never in a position to buy. The first was the Suzuki B-King, which is a naked bike, with a de-tuned Hayabusa engine. This machine may look pretty big but was perefectly balanced, went like stink and never failed to leave me with a grin. The second was the MV Agusta 1078 Brutale. This machine may have had it's faults but was like having a highly strung Italian mistress on the go! I absolutely loved it and each ride was like a drug to the system. There is one bike however that I've never had a chance to ride but really appeals to my most odd taste in machines and if I ever won the lottery, would be the very first thing that I bought, which is a Peraves Monotracer! A what I hear you ask, well take a look at; http://perave.wordpress.com This thing looks like it's come straight out of the old TV series UFO (OK that also dates me somewhat). Regards Reggie

Please, please, please mister, can it be a Beaver? Regards Reggie -
Sorry to hear the story but well impressed with you getign a shot and the serial! Your recuperation should 100% incude the building of the Sea King but once you've done it why don't you mount it in a deep box - leaving a small eye hole, so when you look through it, you get an impression of the view you had during the winching! Get well soon. Regards Reggie

Hi Guys, what ae you like eh! Regards Reggie

Help Needed - 1/72 DH Beaver Prop and Spinner replacement.
The Cameraman replied to 7Four7's topic in Classic - up to 1968
Hi John, if you can let me know when the new ones are ready, just let me know and I'll order a dozen from you. Regards Stu (AKA Reggie) -
Ahh Bills lovely aircraft. I was fortunate enough to fly in that particular beast, to attend the irshow at Islay, from Oban. The hospitality of Bowmore Distillery was fabulous! Great trip. An the way back, we touched down on the Caledonian Canal, to wash off the salt water, great experiance. regards Reggie PS the last time I met Bill was by chance at Oshkosh 2012, when he'd arrived in a Howard 500 and was just disembarking, when I was walking past! It's a small World eh?

Hi Lars, Airtech of Cnada used to do a conversion with the Russian designed, Polish built PZL-3S, seven cylinder radial engine. This can be seen as fitted to C-GBUL and I think was rated to 600HP. Looks well odd with a 4 bladed prop though! Regards Reggie

Hi John, as promised, the spinner info is as follows, length 18.279inch diameter 14.116inch So I trust ou'll be able to confirm which of your options is the nearest? Regards Stu -
Hi Paul, fabulous to see the King Beaver there! I'd love to see the very first one. Who know's, one day I may get a chance. Regards Reggie
-
Hi Lars, yep there's a few stretched Bevaers out there. Some have even had the engines replaced by those from Russia. And not forgetting the turbines/mk 3's and of course there's the one and only mk2 version that was built! They're like Land Rovers, youi never see two the same! Regards Reggie PS As for photo's I can't help you there as my copy n paste functions have gone AWOL on my I-Mac, so I need to do a software upgrade to correct that little glitch!

Hi John, I'm just awaiting a reply from a contact at Hartzell, who'll conform the spinner length and we can then work from there. Regards Reggie -

Hi John, I reckon the left hand one, with the slimmer blade but combined with the longer spinner looks like the best bet. Is this a combination that can be ordered? Regards Reggie -
Hi Tony, you want to try flying them, they're great! I've also been fortunate enough to be flown in Grumman Mallards, Turbo Mallards and the awesome Albatross, and done water landings, and take offs, in them all. If you ever get a chance to try it, it doesn't matter what it costs, just do it, as if you don't you'll always regret it. Regards Reggie

Hi Iain, lovely build, even though I don't do ships myself! I can't wait to see how you get on with the Beaver, as it'll be a tiny wee beastie in this scale. A mate of mine has promised me the Beaver from his kit but it's lost in a loft somewhere, so I may end up having to buy the whole kit, just to get my hands on the Beaver (I admit it, I'm a Beaverholic). Looking forward to watching further progress in your build. Regards Reggie
