  1. The 190 is brilliant, but the figure for 1/48 is sublime especially the black and white photo, could pass for a period photo with the shadow from his cap and the setting
  2. Purchased the pre painted one, same price so thought it would save some pain 🤣. A lot of the engine parts etc will need repainting/washes added etc, but the carbon effect parts are outstanding as is in the kit The panels are ok but will need a clear coat to bring out more depth in the finish. Edit Ammos decal set/softener I have just got is having a brilliant result on some Tamiya decals I'm applying now, so may work on Mengs normally quite thick decals. But best test before you commit as I wouldn't like to get it anywhere near Cartograf ones.
  3. Beautiful model and photos Tomasz Just can't understand how Meng got the front so wrong with a Ford licenced product
  4. A case of 'we know what your doing and have had enough of it now' 😄
  5. Have you unlocked the pressure regulator lock, the red dial under the adjustment knob so you can adjust the pressure As per Dave S post above
  6. Countries airspace is violated, you don't have to worry about that in space. That's about it really
  7. I'm not so sure, people will still be admiring your model 100yrs from now, not so sure this resin stuff will hold up so well 😁
  8. Well all the hype about America shooting that Balloon down and investigating what it was carrying. Looking at the latest video it seems to show the missile hitting what was hanging underneath the balloon, so I doubt their going to find much if any of that 😆
  9. That's a lovely detailed seat, agree with you about Eduard's sets especially the etch instrument panels/seat belts etc, Far better 3d stuff out there now and their getting left behind still using etch imho
  10. To be honest when made up and on the model they don't look too bad, compared to Airfix's Bentley
  11. Again for me it will be down to cost, had the Alfa kit but couldn't justify the cost of the wheels when they came with vat/postage to around half the price of the Italeri kit. Not knocking Nick's company at all and the products are first rate, and he's running a business. if I was building to competition standard they would have been a must but most of the time it's just me looking in the display cabinet. One reason I don't go down the MFH route 😊
  12. Problem with a cotton bud is it will also remove Mr Surface from inside the line as being soft it conforms into the line as well. Best way is with a cotton clothe and across the line to remove excess
  13. Very nice build and finish Nothing against Ammo, but you have to love his marketing, now selling very diluted paint in 10ml bottles 😀
  14. It's my go to primer, I use MLT to spray but have a dedicated room above the garage with extraction. Never tried airbrushing it with IPA, but have noticed Mr Hobby have just brought out a Mr Surfacer Aqueous one now Mr Hobby Aqueous Surfacer 500, 40ml (air-craft.net)
  15. It's a good way to get Mr Surfacer off instead on sanding in awkward places without loosing the surrounding detail
  16. Fill in the panel lines with Mr Surfacer with a small brush carefully, when dry take a damp cotton cloth wetted with IPA and wipe off the excess. Saves a lot of messy sanding, just don't get the cloth too wet
  17. Same here, although I don't have the kit yet, interested but it will all be down to cost.
  18. At least Revell keep the price sensible so you expect to have a little fettling to get it together. Airfix on the other hand price wise with their 1/48 stuff are knocking on the door of the market leaders now and are still producing kits with short shots and imho soft detail. I know it sacrilege on here to say anything negative about Airfix so I'll run and hide now 🥺😄
  19. Mi----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ke 😆
  20. Can't believe I missed this, beautiful build of a very old kit, the colour looks spot on for the period

    ICM Kits

Single blade cutters for removing delicate/small parts. Bit more expensive than the normal cutters so best used just for that and use the normal sprue snippers for the bigger bits
