I wish you'd have said Lollipop sticks, I had to google tongue depressors 😂

I'm pretty sure they will be, AS is the old style Tamiya paints TS is the newer type. Both are Synthetic Lacquers, bit like Tamiya XF/X paints and their newer LP paints Although I think the LP have finer metal flakes compared to the X metallics. Both types in the jars can be thinned with MLT or Tamiya's own lacquer thinner.

I have the above kit and would like to paint in Volcano Orange, anyone know if Tamiya/Gunze do a matching or close colour. I see the kit instructions say a mix of GX109 70% and I take it H9 30% wanted to avoid mixing my own Thanks Colin

1/35 - Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb by Border Model - released
colin replied to Homebee's topic in The Rumourmonger
I've said this before but 95% of people who look at my kits have no idea what it is let alone what's no right with it, some might recognise one like the Spitfire but still wouldn't know if it something was amiss 😉🙂- 48 replies

You shouldn't have those fit problems, especially for what they charge for their kits -
Simply superb, well done

Lovely build and finish in all respects Steve, got one in the stash and the Blue paint, no so sure about the blue now 🤔 Can't waste it so may need to buy another kit then 😀

Hornby Group (airfix's owners) half-yearly results
colin replied to Phil Gollin's topic in Current News
Musk has done this for a while, buys a load of shares in companies and makes it public, people rush and follow, the share price jumps up, then he dumps his holding. Speculate to accumulate -
Hornby Group (airfix's owners) half-yearly results
colin replied to Phil Gollin's topic in Current News
Don't think for one minute those people are there to save Hornby, their there to make a quick profit and out. Their speculators, they've just increased the share price by buying, now wait for the quick sell and taking their profit with them and watching Hornby share price come tumbling down. -

How did to checklists in the cockpit get sucked out of a door/window in the cabin, or was the cockpit door opened during this emergency -

Very nice indeed, you would get more views if you moved the completed photos to the RFI area -
I have a large bottle of their satin and find it seems to take ages to loose it's tacky feel, although it doesn't mark when touched it feels tacky. Mind you I have some Winsor and Newton Galeria and that seems to do the same thing

Have Dragons Scharnhorst 1941 and for the age when it first came out it set another standard for 1/350 moulding wise, looks like they might do it again with this kit hopefully

And now Border Models are muddying the waters with their 1/35 aircraft 😀

Seen his dioramas quite a few time over the years and they never fail to impress -
I don't think Tamiya do a Aqueous range do they, do you mean Gunze

I have tried the AK 3rd Gen for brush painting, and although they thin well with water with added flow improver and brush reasonably well, their nowhere as good, imho, as Vallejo. They seem to dry far to quickly even when on a wet pallet
