  1. A wonderful kit of one of my favourite RN aircraft. I needed some quick straightforward build before the next long term project Cheers from Prague Andrew
  2. Thanks guys for your help. I allready have the MA decal sheet, with the "For sale" sign and kangaroo roundels, bud there is no graffiti for the starboard boom presented on this sheet. I think i will finnish my Sea Vixen without the graffiti and wait for further research
  3. Hi guys, currently i'm building the Airfix Sea Vixen in 1/48 scale. It will be the XN684 during his last flight. Unfortunately there's only a few pictures of this particular aircraft and on some of them i found something i can't deal with. Does anyone have an idea what these light "scratches" are? Thanks!! Andrew
  4. Thanks Johan, in fact your build thread and ideas were my biggest source of inspiration during the construction of my Lansen Thanks for all the comments!
  5. Hi guys, i'd like to show you my new Lansen from Tarangus. Not exactly an user-friendly kit and finally after 8 months i call it done. Phew ( WIP thread in czech language here: http://modelari.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=994 ) Thanks for looking. Br from Prague. Andrew
  6. Stunning work! I am currently struggling with this kit so I'll be checking your WIP thread often for inspiration Andrew
  7. Thanks gentlemen for the comments! Here's the WIP thread (in czech language).
  8. Hi guys, here's my latest creation A bit more challenging than the Dynavector's Scimitar, but i've enjoyed every moment building this little beauty..nevertheless i hope this is the last vacform of my life BR from Prague Andrew
  9. Hello folks, I've started building this sweet kit ( FR.Mk.5 ), unfortunately the decals seem to be useless and there are no stencils at all. Wondering if anyone will be so kind and make a good quality scan of the 1/72 Xtrakit decal sheet, then I would be able to print my own decals.. Thanks in advance Andrew
  10. Sorry John, something completely different..fun with vacs:)
  11. I used the modified Aires wheel bays ( http://www.aires.cz/wheel-bays/english-electric-canberra-wheel-bays/ ), with this set there's no need to shorten the nose gear leg. Gunze C colors 303, 309, 310.. Looking forward to see both the Canberras when finished:) And thanks for the comments! Andrew
  12. Airfix Canberra with some modifications..many thanks to John / Canberra Kid for all his help. Cheers from Prague. Andrew
  13. Thank you gentlemen for all the comments! The closest image of the airbrake assembly I found is on Thunder & Lightnings in walkaround section ( can't post the direct link ). One more - http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3087/2464188746_9458bb89d7_z.jpg?zz=1 Here's the only one picture showing the underbelly airbrakes I could find - http://i44.tinypic.com/4i45s.jpg And one closer look at my Scimitar - http://i1142.photobucket.com/albums/n618/doggie242/Supermarine_Scimitar/DSC_0545_zps08a15cba.jpg Nothing special, the only thing I found a bit tricky was achieving the overall geometry when gluing the wings and elevators.. And how not to break off all the little parts when completing the kit Sorry for my english
  14. Thank you John, I went through your site many times when making the "Canberra research"
  15. Hi guys, does anyone have any closer pictures of the two opened bays behind the cockpit? I googled and googled but with no success.. Thanks! Andrew
  16. Thank you Airfix for announcing the 48th Javelin, no more vacform in my life! Well, kidding, because: 1. This was my first experience with vacforms and i was really surprised by the overall quality of the kit ( except the decals )..seriously, well done Dynavector, i enjoyed building this one. 2. There's the Falcon's 48th Supermarine Swift vacform and i'm not sure i can resist.. Anyway, thanks for looking.. One of the most beautiful jets ever! And yes, i screwed up the decals. Again. And the canopy. Cheers from Prague. Andrew.
  17. Thank you gentlemen! Guess what's coming next
  18. One of the coolest jets ever, i definitely have to build the F.6 someday.. The Airfix kit is really great, i only added the CMK cockpit and undecarriage sets and Aires exhausts..and in the end i screwed up the decals Thanks for looking! Andrew
  19. Thank you for all the comments!! It's the aftermarket resin set from Skyraider Model Designs ( http://www.smds.ws )..some very useful stuff there..
