  1. Check here: http://www.lionroar.net/ click on GWH and you'll see kit# L1001 Vulcan. Jari
  2. I wonder when we'll see the sprue pics as the decal sheet shows a varied assortment of weapons although some will be inert with the blue stripes. Jari
  3. Nice looking A-7. one note about the early Corsairs, the air start panel was on the left side of the aft fuselage as seen here: http://data3.primeportal.net/hangar/bill_spidle2/a-7a_153135/images/a-7a_153135_020_of_109.jpg the circular panel just aft of the pylon. The kit has it wrong by being on the right side, where the E had it. Jari
  4. The airbrakes were only open with power applied, or during maintenance and locks installed, once power was removed they closed automatically. Jari
  5. 250 lb. SMALL BOMB CONTAINER, Mk. IA (Incendiary) Overall length - 66.3 in. Overall width - 12.5 in. Depth inside shell - 10.125 in. edit: a correction to the depth inside shell and additional info - The shell is of aluminium strip, pressed to form a container 66.3 in. long by 11 in. wide by 7.43 in. deep internally. 4,000lb Cookie Over all length - 110 in. Body length - 82 in. Body diameter - 30 in. Tail length - 27 in. Tail diameter - 29 in. Jari
  6. The overall green faded so an exact colour match will be hard to get. Do a Google image search for: CF-104D 104653 and you'll find pics of it from the left side and it looks lighter than the other photo. Note the Tiger's head isn't there so those pics are most likely from later times. Jari
  7. The flaps do come down when power is off. Jari
  8. Here is the first link again broken down: http://www. maic.jmu.edu/ordata/srdetaildesc.asp?ordid=1209 Jari
  9. Here is the CBLS 200: http://www.maic.jmu.....asp?ordid=1209 edit: found this as well that may be of help: http://s233.photobucket.com/albums/ee252/TarnishUK/Misc/CBLS/?start=all Jari
  10. This info is far from 100% accurate but i measured both the Trumpeter 1/32 F-105 c/l pylon and the one in the RM 1/48 kit and here are the numbers: TR (converted to 1/48) Lt - 5.13cm Fwd height - .69cm Aft height - .435cm Width - .195cm RM (conveted to 1/48) Lt - 5.25cm Fwd height - .6cm Aft height - .195cm Width - .225cm again these were rough measurements i made but should give you an idea of the size of the pylon. Jari
  11. Nice work. One thing on the seats, on the CF-104 the "knee knockers' ( the guards that deploy during ejection to keep the legs in place) on the side of the seat, were painted with yellow and black stripes. A b&w pic can be seen here: http://www.ejection-history.org.uk/project/Biographies/H/Harrison_Ralph_CF-104/HarrisonRalph.htm Jari
  12. Great looking Crusader, one nit though, the Zuni launchers need to be switched, L to R, R to L. The top one was forward with the bottom one more aft like this: http://i42.servimg.com/u/f42/14/22/55/57/zuni_r10.jpg Jari
  13. Just a minor point, the fairings under the nose and tail of the CF-104 weren't ECM but RHWR antennas. Also for those building a CF-104 using the Hasegawa 1/48 kit, part R9 is the external delinker, it was rarely carried as it's use precluded anything from being carried on the c/l pylon. I only installed one, and that was on my CF-104 Armament course, we had them available in Baden but they mostly sat around gathering dust. Jari
  14. Check the pic here: http://www.ordnance.org/lau115.htm of the LAU-115A/A, the O just below the fwd and aft lugs are where the LAU-7 rails were bolted onto the LAU-115. Jari
  15. Info on F-8 bomb loads: http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=90950&st=0&p=771462&hl=f-8%20bomb%20load&fromsearch=1entry771462 F-8D ejection but note the load of Zuni pod on the top rail and an AIM-9 on the lower one: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d3/Ejection_from_VF-154_F-8D_off_Vietnam_1965.jpg Jari
  16. The LAU-115 was used for the Sparrow under the wing pylon, add a couple of LAU-7s to the sides of the LAU-115 and you can put on the two AIM-9s. Of course you couldn't have the Sparrow on at the same time as the Sidewinders. Do a image search for LAU-115 to see what they are like. One note, at that time we had the early LAU-115A/A ones without the extra spacer on top. Jari
  17. I just got my F-8E kit and one thing i noticed that Trumpeter got wrong is the missile rails are backwards. The part with the |------- at the end should be at the aft end of the launcher. It looks like it's supposed to represent the heat shield the LAU-7 had although this pic shows the launcher without it: http://data3.primeportal.net/hangar/howard_mason/f-8j_150297_painted_as_f-8e/images/f-8j_150297_painted_as_f-8e_09_of_52.jpg Of course if you load the rails then it probably won't be noticably. Still a great looking build. Jari
  18. Here are a couple photos of the actual aircraft: http://naval.aviation.museum/emuwebdoncoms/objects/common/webmedia.php?irn=16006286 http://naval.aviation.museum/emuwebdoncoms/objects/common/webmedia.php?irn=16006287 Note the lower bomb marking there are only 4 bomb marks. Jari
  19. Here is a F-104G about to go up and drop a practice B61: http://imageshack.us/f/245/104withb61rj3.jpg/ so i'm sure the Tornado did as well. Jari
  20. Training took place all the time when weapons were involved no matter what weapon or nationality, of course very few pictures were taken, especially of 'special' weapons. But there are some out there in public domain: http://www.fas.org/programs/ssp/nukes/images/germanyb61.jpg Jari
  21. Maybe with the plethora of 1/32 Skyraiders in the works, maybe they’ll have some AEW versions, with or without the belly radome or underwing radar pod: http://naval.aviation.museum/emuwebdoncoms...hp?irn=16006136 http://naval.aviation.museum/emuwebdoncoms...hp?irn=16006065 Jari
  22. According to Falklands - The Air War, the ECM pod was carried but not the Shrike. The first Shrike mission was Black Buck 4. Jari
  23. Here are a couple of Hellcat pics, different theatres of operations but they show the drop tank, and the other a bomb loaded (looks UK): http://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/205187360 http://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/205187337 Jari
  24. Does this look like a 500lb bomb in a Blenheim bay?: Bomb Jari
  25. Zuni rocket pods were also carried: http://a4skyhawk.org/sites/a4skyhawk.org/f...arge/152000.jpg Jari
