  1. It's almost done. I have to add the props, wheel bay doors, fabricate a pitot tube and maybe some more small work. I also got a new camera set up with one of those photo tents, so I'm playing around with that a bit as well.
  2. The set comes with a corrections sheet, including the 9444 with the white borders, so at least that's fixed.
  3. Sorry, I can't quite make out the nose. It's a bit dark in that area. The white blind flying curtain is there, neatly rolled up on the side of the canopy. The owl on the tail is exactly like the one in your little insert, and nothing like that thing that Xtradecal thought was passable.
  4. I have this book. The profiles seem pretty accurate. 9444 is on page 39, though. The photo of it is almost the same as the B/W one above, probably taken within seconds of eachother, just with two different camera's. The 9444 has recently been painted on, to replace the older style of plane numbers as in the JaBoG 33 profile. The paint around it thus has a slightly lighter shade, which can be seen on the above photo. The fueltanks and the band around the rear fuselage on the JaBoG 33 jet have faded quite a bit when the photo was taken, mostly on the upper surfaces. On the AKG 51 jet, only the band has faded. Fueltanks look freshly painted.
  5. Youtuber and modelshop owner Mann's Model Moments had an interview with a lady from ICM yesterday, and the subject of a 1/48 Hampden came up, and it seems that they think it's a good idea and are trying to put that on the 2025 calender. Source: (video should start at right timestamp. If not, it is discussed at 30:55 onwards)
  6. It kinda does. It has the AIM-7's on the sprue, which are needed for a display Blue Angels jet.
  7. Nothing wrong with the picture. Number 4 got a black tail from all the soot those J79's produced. It is accurate. https://www.airliners.net/photo/USA-Air-Force/McDonnell-Douglas-F-4E-Phantom-II/1329951
  8. @exdraken Not 1/48, but why not build something out of your comfort zone? The 1/35 Revell 7t 6 wheeler truck has decals for an Estonian army one. These are quite decent kits. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/revell-03291-man-7t-milgl-6x6--1324069
  9. At first I wasn't so sure about the colours, but now there's a glossy finish to them, and I've started adding decals. It's looking much better to me now. Just a few more decals to go.
  10. The artwork is straight from one of the Special Hobby kits, and the sprue lay out is from the Italeri kit. Don't get your hopes up too quick.
  11. "Look what I found, eh" "Quick, Martin, put that thing away! In 50 years they will have discussions aboot this on the internet, eh" "Sorry, eh"
  12. Dutch Air Force and Belgian Air Force both had/have strike squadrons with a nuclear weapon delivery role. It started with the F-84, then F-104, F-16 and now F-35. Canadian F-104's were also deployed in the nuclear strike role at first.
  13. You can use the alt code, like for instance from https://www.alt-codes.net/flags Just click the flag of your choice and it copies itself, then paste here in your post. Like so 🇺🇸
  14. I will be starting this Group Build with a Danish recce Draken, using the Hasegawa kit, with a Maestro Models conversion set, a Master pitot tube, and Paulus Victor decals. But first I have to finish some other stuff, so I won't be starting on the 4th straight away.

  16. Thanks. I use Revell's enamel thinner with the Colourcoats paint. When thinned enough, it dries pretty smooth and fast. I got most of the paint on, but obviously some corrections and touch ups are required. I have to say, these colours look pretty weird, but they are supposed to be correct.
  17. And here we are, all covered in primer. When I bought this kit, I also bought this paint set from Colourcoats. I will start with the brown shade.
  18. Wings are on, and suddenly it looks like an airplane now. And quite a big one too. After the nose and tailwheel are in place, I think I can start masking all the windows and give it a coat of primer.
  19. The fuselage pod didn't close quite good enough on the rear, so it was a little wide for the tail cone. I added some bits of styrene to help making the curve smoother between the two bits. It looks OK now, but I will have spray some primer on it and probably have more filling and sanding to do. I also completed the tail booms, with the wheel bays and engines. The wing parts fit great, but trying to assemble the wheelbays and then fit them into the tailboom halves was much trickier. Some heavy cutting, grinding and sanding was needed. The engines are quite nice, with a whole bunch of separate exhaust parts you need to add. These will have to be properly finished before I add the cowlings. I tried dry fitting the wings on the fuselage pod, and it looks like a very good fit, so yay. Next up is finishing the engines and cowlings, adding the nose with the guns, and then glue the wings on the fuselage.
  20. I know, but I like the idea of the assignements. I also noticed I now have Canada instead, just when a bunch of Danish decals arrived in the mail. I guess I now have to build both! Oh dear, what a shame.
  21. Cool. I have some ideas. Denmark is one of those countries that is long overdue in my collection.
  22. I have a book about them. What do you want to know? The blue ones were P-315 and P-316 (later renumbered to 110).
  23. I'd like to join, please. Am I right in thinking I get Italy assigned to me?
  24. I focused on finishing another build for a while, but now I'm back to the G.1. The interior is complete, painted and installed into the fuselage. The top and bottom windows of the fuselage pod come separate, and they don't fit well into their spots. Some sanding and filing was required. Even then it was a bit of a puzzle to find out what was the front and rear of each window, and two were misnumbered in the instructions. In the end it sort of fits, although I do have some filling and sanding to do, mostly at the top rear of the pod. I do like the PE parts for the interior. Next up is the tail cone with the gun inside, and after that work moves on to the wings and under carriage.
