  1. Yeah i know what you mean, I've found a few google images of them some of them look great like the one above and some i just thought wtf. I'm a big fan of the original octavia wrc, it soldiered on when other teams which to smaller hatch backs, have all the 1/43 scale models of it bar the safari rally one (again if anyone wants rid of one let me know) so wouldn't mind a larger scale version. Just out of interest how much did you sell yours for? cant even find any under completed listings on ebay
  2. Any idea on the place up north? I emailed reji and they got back to me in 10 mins they don't have any
  3. just wondering if any one knows the best chance of finding a REJI 1/24 octavia. Google brings up rather limited info so didn't seem to be popular
  4. only way that would be more amazing is if the lever worked and launched the plane
  5. I did notice that, I did a google to see if I can find info about it and there seems to be alot of cases of museums renting out pieces they don't own to other museums without informing the owners and keeping the money for themselves
  6. Well a part of her anyway, recently manage to get a hold of a piece of the prop when she had the collision with renown. The hms hood association and Wikipedia state that there is only 2 known pieces but I've managed to research 6. My plan was to have it displayed in the riverside musuem in Glasgow with the original builders yard model but they keep asking me to "donate" it when I want to retain ownership of it
  7. Radpoe do you have picture of what was in with it? Would be fascinating to see.
  8. look whats ended up on ebay! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/H-M-S-HOOD-/261137128720?pt=UK_Antiques_Other_RL&hash=item3cccfc5d10
  9. Long term lurker on the forum here don't post that much but need some help. Normally a diecast model car/plane collector and usually have them on display at the glasgow ipms for the last couple of years but recently fell in love with a ship after looking at the orignal plans for it and really want a model of it now. Found someone who is able to comission the model for me (in 1/350) but im really wanting to set it up on a diorama base with waves like below or if its possible the ship being straddled aswell speaking to the guy that can do it he doesn't do diorama type bases and his friend that normally does found it too challenging so im just wondering if theres anyone out there that could point me in the direction of someone that may be able to have a go at it. There is no rush for it as i know with the run up to christmas people don't have alot of time and the model of the ship hasn't been started yet as i want to check if it would be possible before going ahead with it as for me the diorama aspect is a big part and feel it would really finsih it off.
