  1. Strip it & spray it Bex... Doesn't matter if it looks a bit "refrigerator" afterwards - you can always add a bit of weathering to it.
  2. Well done Mike... you finished one! Now the world is your lobster! To nitpick, the background is a bit distracting - maybe get a sheet of colored card to cover the bench for the Canberra
  3. What did you pick? The noro virus for sickness & diarrhoea, or the ubiquitous cold? I got the latter, and it's a pain in the butt Keep on plugging away with the kit though... looks like fun
  4. Those Airfix intakes are worthy of Mach2 for their wobbliness... ask me how I know? I'm just in the final polishing stages of sorting a set out...
  5. Noro virus... it's been doing the rounds It looks (from memory) a bit better than its dinky cousin... but time will tell. It's actually calling to me to build it now I've seen yours (ooer!)... So many models, so little time!
  6. Didn't you see your "thank you" in the good traders section?
  7. Go Karl! What were you ill with? A cold? Wonder where you got that from then? I've got the 1:48 Kopro offering of this rather striking aircraft, and I'm now a little worried that it's just a scale up of this one... with all the gaps & sink marks just 50% larger! At least I have a Neomega pit though
  8. Yup - last I spoke to Taro, they were still selling their remaining kits directly, and at that time they were very affordable. Whether the currency flops have screwed that up, I don't know Apologies for "necro threading" this...
  9. This should make an excellent reference when you're done...
  10. Oooh goody! I'd love to see those - what're me chances?
  11. Oi! Stop taking sides... you'll be getting your coffee tampered with next time you're here
  12. He seems to think that I was just getting this to sell on... wishful thinking on his part, I suspect... his fevered mind has remanufactured the truth into his own version where I was giving it to him. The other kit was a Tamiya F-117 - again 1:48
  13. I picked this little puppy up as part of a 2 kit purchase at something like retail price, so as well as being very happy with the cost, I'm also very happy to have this on my bench. It was a total fluke that it fell into my hands, and I'm afraid it's upset Mike Reeves immensely, cos he's always wanted one. If anyone has one they're unlikely to build, PLEASE can they offer it to Mike so he gets off my back? I couldn't resist a quick mock-up I'm currently wiring the wheel bays of a well known cold war British bomber, so work will probably start in a week or so, although I might do a little work in between times
  14. You could tell everyone it was a main spar failure? I suspect the flaps deflected as a pair, but can't remember which way They certainly would have taken the rockets off first though!
  15. Sadly, I'll only be buying one when they hit the bargain bin
  16. Why'dya think I did mine with the wings up & flaps open? Not very realistic to have the both like that (I think) AND loaded for bear, but hey... I was after an easy life!
  17. It was more to see the difference in diameter of the outers, and the relationship in size to the inner sleeves.
  18. I understand it's a pig... and if it's anything like their MB-5, I can well believe it! Ian @ Heritage does one now, which you can have a gander at here. Might make for an easier build than the old Silver Cloud kit I'm an idiot... that's a Spiteful!
  19. Thanks for the offer Bill... Slightly tempted, cos I have 2 Vulcans to do, and only one etched set I shouldn't really, but if it's for sale, could you PM me with a price you'd like for it? You may be able to twist my arm
