  1. I've got a length of anchor chain on a PE set I got today from White Ensign, but it's quite a bit to pay for a short length from your point of view. Maybe have a look for other PE chain sheets, or search online for micro-chain. It's gotta be available, as bangles & such often have rather fine safety chains that stop you losing your jewelery if the clasp pops open. 500mm of 0.5mm chain from Hannants PE chain (1:35) Hannants Verlinden chain Hannants and that's just a quick search of one site using the search phrase "chain"
  2. Come on Callum! Get some more pics up I've got this one winking at me from the stash, so am interested to see what's going on

The way to doing this is to click on the Edit button at the bottom of your original post, choose Full Edit, and use that to correct the error. Simple, eh?
  12. I'd go as far as to say don't use white, as "scale", it'll scream at you - instead use a very pale grey. Paint a dark grey shadow under the upper eyelid, then paint in the iris in a dark color (not black!), making sure it touches the top & bottom of the eyelids (to prevent that startled look), then, if you have space, put in a pupil in black, and a catch-light in white in the top left or right quadrant of the iris/pupil. Make sure that the two match! Also, don't forget the eyebrows, or you'll end up with Ziggy Stardust

Looks to me like they're claiming to have shot down at least two concordes!
  14. £48 is a bit steep, but that's probably because they don't anticipate major sales, and it is resin afterall... I know how much that stuff costs Trouble is, 3 more sprues would probably cost enough to mean serious outlay @ Airfix, and if CMR are right about the target market, not THAT much chance of massive sales. You watch them announce one now!
  15. Gerry... glad to see you finally made it
  16. 'Scuse a non-treadhead butting in, but does the 1 piece resin casting add anything other than not having to build the kit parts? Are they better mouldings too? Does the fact that the wheels are integral to the casting not cause a bit of a pain when you're painting it?
  17. Just don't use a Dremel, or you'll get it everywhere!
