Hi all
Made a start, got the chassis and suspension together , will post some photos when the lock smith (who is 4 hours late!) turns up and lets me in my garage!

Well after the lock smith letting me down and a 24 hour duty on monday i finaly got in my garage to take some photos and do a little bit of scratch building.
I started with the chaissis which on the whole is not bad alought the steering arangement is a bit iffy. Not overly concered about the seam line as land
rover chassis are weled in the same place.

Here is the engine as hobbyboss intend it.

it was lacking in detail and in some places completey wrong. So i set about it with my razor saw bits of stock rod, wire and some solder and ended up with this.


Not a totaly accurate but better than out of the box.

That engine colour is spot on for a 2.5 litre!!
Edit- just noticed- the three bolts that hold the rocker cover down are missing- how could they miss that!!!!

How bad is the damage? The wee ones nails can be very sharp !!!! And they say model making is a hazardous hobby !!!! What about FATHERHOOD ?????

Have been making steady progress over the last few days, here is where im at right now.


Starting to have consistant results with my air brush now have a good feeling about this one.

Can't say not built the AA kit, it goes together really well but they have used some artistic license on parts!
