I'm now going through the process of tidying up the seats how do you remove the plug at the bottom of them safely??

Maybe a bread and butter thing to know how to do, but its the first time I've worked with a resin seat.

Many thanks

You've got a couple of options.
  1. Sand it off - manually if you don't have a Dremel
  2. Cut it off with a razor saw
  3. Cut it off with a cutting wheel if you have a Dremel
For all the options though, do it in a well ventilated space (I usually cut them off with my Dremel outdoors), and wear a respirator if you have one, a particle mask if you don't. Those small particles ain't good for your respiratory system who-let-rip.png

All those work real well...personally I have been using one of the saws that John Vojtech markets:
www.umm-usa.com

Its about as thin as a razor blade, but has extremely fine teeth on each side. With it I can make a very small, straight cut. Then tidy things up with a sheet of sandpaper taped to a wooden board. (Makes the bottom of the seat nice and flat for super gluing into the cockpit wink.gif)

Cheers I'll be cutting it so far with the razor saw then finish off with sanding paper, that easy huh thought as much worth asking though

Thanks

Personally I use a belt sander. its quick and efficient and I have a vacuul attached so I get no resin dust in my lungs smile.gif

My sander is made by Delta and I bought it from Micro Mark.

I use a razor saw. Cheap, uncomplicated and it lasts for ever. The only motive power needed is in your arm already.
