I know the jet sits a bit off the ground but my second kit that i am toying with seems to sit on her tippy toes. Comments??

My thoughts exactly Mike, in fact I had 2 attempts at fixing the u/c on mine last night and it still looks wrong. The kits legs as fitted per the instructions make the main gear seem to sit too close together and need to be splayed(?) out so they sit at a lower angle. Or else get some aftermarket ones and junk the kit stuff.

Must say that looking at your Jag, which is stunning BTW, caused me to rethink what my fears were last night. Maybe I am used to seeing underwing ordnance and tanks and am just not used to seeing a "clean" cat?

I think I will break out the refs tonight again and see what I find out.

Glad I am not the only one who thought this.

Cheers and once again your build is superb!!

I'm not so sure it's that high, BUT I have said several times that the main u/c in this kit are way off. I believe the splay of the legs on the real aircraft are wider than that of the kit - maybe that's a reason?

Well that would make sense Gary. If the splay is too narrow it will add height. I may have to do some surgery to make mine "sit" correctly.

Also, I have noticed that the tail sits a little low on the real jet as well almost like it is leaning back a bit if that makes sense??

I need some caffeine!!

They sit backwards when full of fuel usually when they are empty they sit level almost but as I remember when the jet came back after a sortie I couldn't reach the brake chute safety pin to put it in but when it was full with fuel I could.
