Hi folks!

I just went thru my Aeroguide #2 and saw the picture of the I guess old-type anti-collision light.
When was the modification? Did the Jaguars in Germany carry the new one, too?

Thanks!
Alex

I believe the Anti Col lamps were changed as part of the GR3 upgrade.

Nope, they were fitted to some airframes before the GR3 upgrade - in fact before Jaguar 95 or 96 either. They started to appear in the late 80s

e.g. XX116 in 1989

Then in 1994

Note this still has the original twin antennae on the h/e fairing

Most of the points on Radek's page were in fact introduced onto GR1s, mainly as a reult of upgrades and mods brought in for the Gulf War.

For example XZ356 in 1991:

Flare dispensers, new strobe light, new tail cone, overwing pylon -0 but still with original antennae

but here's XZ369 in 1993 with the revised antenna - still a GR1A. The new radio was introduced as a Gulf War mod.

I beleive the GPS is the only one that actually is a GR3 only fit - but I may be wrong!
