M/S Color Fantasy Cruise Ferry
plastic kit in 1/1200 scale

The M/S Color fantasy is a Cruise Ferry owned by Color Line that was established in 1990. The Color fantasy is used on the Oslo (Norway) to Kiel (Germany) route. It was built in 2004 by the Aker Finnyards boatbuilders. The Color Fantasy is the second largest Cruise ferry, only surpassed by her sister ship. The Color fantasy comes in at 224m long, beam of 35m and a top speed of 22knots. She can carry a passenger load of 2700 people plus crew.
This kit has 45 parts and builds up to be about 19cm long when finished.

The main hull is cast in 1 partand has a lot of detail on it, with window, and porthole etched into the surface. There are locating holes for the props rudders, and the stand. A bit of careful cutting and you should be able to do a waterline model, but no instructions on where to cut are included. A small sheet of decals are included with basic detail and name plated for the stand thet is included.

The rest of the kit is over 5 small sprues, with the stand, superstructure and decks well cast with a high level of detail. On the review sample there is no flash on the kit.
The instructions are usual revell, a clear booklet in black and white with painting instructions that match to Revell paint codes.

Conclusion
A nicely detailed kit of a subject that I do like. careful painting of the fine detail will create a nice, but small model of this Cruise ferry. Look out for a build on this as it will be landing on my bench very soon!
