Okay this is one for people who love realism its no Call of Duty/battlefield run and gun it requires tactics and skill. You can use a complete arsenal of weapons and vehicles all lovingly created with alot of detail with abolutely huge play areas due to jets and helis being involved. I recommend you have a good PC for this game to get the most out of it and to download all the add ons which takes time but makes it so much better.

Heres a clip from an Aerial mission using an Apache acompanied by a little bird drone

Trailer for the game

Just to give you an idea of in game graphics during the day

I had a look at this the other day and i was stunned by the lifelike graphics and the feeling of being there. Was thinking of trying this online but after playing Day of defeat for nearly 10 years online i don't think i can afford another 10 to online gaming. biggrin.gif As Russ has said its not for the Bunnyhop let me cap the flag battalion, trying to hit a moving target takes a bit of thought and patience thats if you can see that target in the first place.

It's stunning and the amount of mods for this game is fantastic. Seriously this game is a full time hobby.

I've always been a fan of the Operation Flashpoint series and this next evolution looks to be a killer. Only problem is it requires Win XP or Vista as a minimum and I'm still back on Win2K. Guess I'm stuck with the boxy graphics of OFP sad.gif

Yep 1 hit and your done just like real life non of that walking tank non sense plus the stratergy element and sheer scale of it make it amazing although sometimes long winded between action

Yes to get the most out of this game you need to be running a decent pc with a good video card it would ruin the game having to play it with all the settings on low especially for the IR and NV stuff of which there is quite a bit

The only bad thing i find about the game is some of the ingame speech sounds really crap for such a new game almost robotic like

That's been an issue with all the Bohemia games. I think they probably use a Speech Synthesis package over voice actors for speed and cost.

And if the ArmA II mission editor gets as well stocked as the OFP one through user addons, this game is going to be around for a long time to come.

Trust me it already is there is a massive following for this game and a huge modding comunity who are turning out some absolute masterpiece add ons worthy of manufacturer production
