I know Accurate Armour do a few individual and sets of modern British figures but is there any other suppliers of such a thing out there. I don't normally do much armour so am not overly familiar with suppliers for this side of the hobby.

I'm already thinking ahead to HobbyBoss's WMIK Landy and thinking about figures appropriate for an Afghan Dio.

Eng,

Try historexagents.com they have a good selection from a number of manufacturers, you will have to look round the site to find what you want. Service is very good too.

Wee friends do a 1/35th figure and i would agree with Julien the CMK pictures never look good. Dragon British Desert Rats #3013 pack of 4 and Verlinden did some as well but some of these are hard to get now. You are best sticking with accurate as they seem to be the best around unless anybody knows better.

Ironically, Lynn Sangster's (who runs Historex) brother was the Minister/Priest that married me and my wife! Andrew is also a modeller and had some beautiful Battleships and figure/busts in his office in the Manse, needless to say marriage discussions were long drawn out affairs!

I can't believe that there is so little in the way of British military figures out there, especially given that there has been several "recent" conflicts that I'm sure modellers would like to depict - The Falklands, Bosnia/Balkan's, Gulf War 1 and 2, Afghanistan, Sierra Leone to name a few. Is there really that little interest in British military events?

The only reason I asked about those other than Accurate Armour is that although their stuff is beautifully cast I felt there stuff was quite expensive, their individual figures are about £7 each. I'll have a wee look about. The only other thing I thought about was altering some other figures from a kit, but to be honest, not being an armour modeller I'm more inclined to take the lazy "out of the box" approach.

Thank's for all the good advice folk's,
