Ok, Ive changed this build to a revell airbus. Im going to convert it to a A318 and do it as one of the BA ones. I have a couple of part built revell Airbuses I picked up at a show cheap.
I didnt get any pics, but one has now been under the knife and is short! I also used the tail off the donar kit, and added 5mm to the hight using a bit cut off one of another part built kit I have.

Well, I see bexy is not too good, so Ive changed to a kit I have in stock. Didnt want to hassle her.
I saw an article in a mag on the a318, so thought....

some pics, I didnt get a pic before I started, but there was a A319 that had the fuselage stuck together, and the tail badly painted Orange. I cant guess whos livery that was ment to be!

I started by chopping 11mm from behind the wing, and 6mm from in front of the wing. I then used the second started kit, and used both tails to add 5mm to the height. You can just see the join!

Bit off filler on, lots more to do!

Be interesting to see how this turns out.

well its not as simple as it looks.....
The forward cut is a cut and join so easy, but behind the wing the lower fuselage tapers up so some plastic and filler is needed to blend it all in. Wings glued and some flap tracks removed.
Needs lots of sanding.....

Blimey! If you're into sanding Rich, the paintwork on the outside of my house needs rubbing down...

that's a great idea!
Is there any chance to build an A310 from any other Airbus kit on the market?

revell did a A310,
A310-200 1/144 Revell, KLM.
A310-300 1/144 Revell, Balair CTA.
1/144 Revell, Interflug.
And I have a file on conversions for the A300 and 310 models. If you want a copy PM me your e-mail and I will send it across to you

Have fun with the diffs between wings and wing root fairings.......
theoretically you could make any version of the airbus narrowbodies from the revell kit...
...and keep making it shorter until you make an A311.
tho stop there - this kit will not make an A310....
watching this with interest as I also have a conversion to do
