Just got IL-2 1946, but can't get past the first menu page as the mouse locks up. Any advice?

You need a pretty good graphics card and a minimum of 1Gb RAM to run it otherwise your mouse locks up because the computer hasn't got enough grunt to run the sim.
Mine used to do that,but putting in an Nvidia card and 2Gb of RAM cured it.

If you alt-tab then alt-tab back to the game again the mouse will come back.
