Thanks to those who have posted on Happy Teacup and Shion on ARC for spotting the link this morning.

TSR-2 Thingy....

Platz T-33 - the first time I believe that they have done 72nd. They are famous for the double kits of 144th subjects
Also notice the Global Hawk in the foreground

Hasegawa 72nd Ju-188

Hasegawa 72nd Sufa...gotta love the red Sufa sprues...definately makes the new parts stand out!

Hasegawa Embraer....

Hasegawa 32nd 'early' Ki-44 Tojo - this marking is from the prototypes that flew operationaly in Malaysia in '41/42

350th USS Gambier Bay - I think it's the Hasegawa kit....continuing the tradition of the Japanese model companies of only doing Allied naval prototypes that were sunk by Japanese forces! A Casablanca class escort carrier - for those who may want to do something that wasn't sunk at Leyte Gulf!
More to come.....

Also seen - though I'll wait for confirmation and better pics in the armor realm...
Japanese WWII Trucks (Finemolds?)
Dragon Pz III Ausf N - late war infantry support tank (short barrel 75)
Dragon Pz IV - 'new tool'? Late war with bazooka plates - is there really any Pz IV not molded?
Dragon Pz-II Ausf B
Tasca/AFV(?) Sherman w/76mm gun (non-'Easy Eight')
I'll nose around the armor sites for confirmation and furter details - like that of the Sherman

About the Panzer III N, I think it´s most famous for being used for close support to the early Tiger I´s. It´s more of a mid war tank.

Over 8000 Pz Kpfw IVs were built. Dragon won't rest until
every single one has a box of its own, at fifty quid a pop.
Hope they edit the blurb on the back of the Meteor box. Those "ailerons" don't half look like flaps to me, and that correctly-moulded rudder is strangely reminiscent of the tailplane. (Yes, I know - I'm quibbling!)
Obi - 1/400, to judge by the other stuff?

Am I the only one feeling quite underwhelmed by the "new" aircraft kits. An alteration/addition to the Hase F-16 in 1/72 to give an I, the same for the ME109 in 32 to give a Friedrich, another Dragon ME-110 alteration/addition in 1/32 and a new tool Meteor and Tamiya releases, another Zero..... Nothing really new and exciting, no new tool 1/48 or 1/32 aircraft effectively. I must be getting grumpier as there is nothing that even raises a spark of interest for me.

If the two Saturn rockets behind it are 1/400, then the ASTP is much larger in scale - hopefully 1/72

It´s still the first day of the show, so there can be additions. But I agree with you. It seems like the japanese companies has geared down a bit lately.

As has been said still the first day, hopefully a little more on Cyberhobby's new aircraft line (other than the Meteor) will come out.
One surprise to me was seeing Hobbyboss being displayed....I thought Trumpeter (and therefore Hobbyboss) was 'banned' from Shizouka as a result of Tamiya being hacked off at the early copy jobs done on Tamiya releases.

...I wonder whether it’s accurate to scale in 1/72 in every respect, or whether it can be “tweaked” to actually run on a OO/HO railway layout? A couple of big Fleischmann locos and you’d be away...

It 'ran' on paired rails, that part in the center is the 'lower hull' of the gun platform. Somewhere is an article on how many train loads that thing took to get to where it was needed (Sevastapol) and then only fired under 50 rounds.
I think that HB is doing locomotives in 72nd to go along with it.

Interesting bit of sprueology, Here is a pic of the WING sprue for the Meteor III. All wing parts are on the same sprue including engines, wouldn't that make it easier to eventually do a F4 and a F8? Wonder if the tail is separate on the fuselage <edit> nope - in one of the pics it shows the tail complete on the fuselage which is stated as an 'accurate' Meteor III fuselage - I wonder if that does mean other fuselages. Was a F4 the same fuselage as a Mk III with a differing wing? Not too up to date on my Meatbox variants, it has been probably 15 years since I built a first run Tamiya Meteor

For sure, Japanese modelers have much more eclectic tastes than we seem to...

Yeah down in the Tamiya Spit VIII thread from early April. It\'s one thing I am never certain of is how much armor to cover and bring to peoples attention, especially if non-British.
http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=47099Armor guys will like this - a new tooled BT-7 1935 tank. It has been confirmed on Missing-Lynx that this is a new tool and not a rebox of the Zvezda tooling. The BT-7 is the immediate predicessor to the T-34 tank and was the first mass produced tank to utilize the design of the revolutionary Walter Christie suspension system which allowed for a very high speed. BT stood for \'fast tank\' - a calvary vehicle. And hopefully Tamiya will release the numerous detail variants that were introduced over the 6000 vehicle production run and nearly decade of service (think of how many KVs Trumpeter has released!)At the time I don\'t think there were *.jpg files of the tank available. Give me a bit of time and I\'ll try and get a couple posted, I just saw a sprue shot as well as the build up

Over on F1M.com, they're reporting a couple of 1/20 F1 announcements. Both are provisional, to gauge market reaction, but should think it would be very favourable:
Fujimi are planning an all-new kit of the 1985 Lotus Renault 97T, which no doubt will be released as Ayrton Senna's car from the Portuguese GP, his first win. Hopefully they'll include rain tyres.
And Tamiya are thinking about re-releasing the 1976 McLaren Ford M23, as driven by James Hunt to win that year's world championship. It's just about the only classic Tamiya 1/20 kit that's never been given a re-issue, and commands reasonably high prices on auction sites, so should go down well. I'm looking to get at least 4, if it does happen.

Hi Matt, Doyusha is the Japanese company linked to Trumpy/Hobbyboss. I think you'll find the new Doyusha 1/72nd T-6 Texan, Blue Impulse F-86, UH-1 Huey and AH-1S Cobra are all reboxed HB and the first kit linking them IIRC was Trumpy's 1/144th Raptor last year.
