Mr Song has posted a few more pics of the new 32nd IL-2 single seater. These are in the Hobbyboss release list for 2010/2011

Some of the things I noticed after building two or three of the Accurate Miniatures kits stand out to me. Dropped flaps and open bomb bays (betcha didn't know it had internal bomb bays like a Fairey Battle!)





Another observation. The outer wing is separate from the centersection to allow for the wooden wing option as well as the later 'swept' wing that the later two seaters had (IL-2M3). It was swept to help with the c/g problems added when a gunner was added to the IL-2m airframe.



Just the thing to place next to your Ju-87G and Rocket Typhoon on the shelf....

The single seater with ski's....... this & a real Tiffie any idea of a release date.

My guess on the IL-2 would be end of the year at the earliest and a was off yet for the Tiffie. I'd imagine that getting the cockpit and engine right would be the first thing to get done before getting the fuselage to work with the details.

I'll keep my eyes and ears open but I'd doubt the Typhoon before late next year or 2012.

Well I'm on a minimum spend regime at the moment but that would immediately break it !
