Anyone seen the Saitek yoke coming out next month? steel shaft should make it better than the CH Yoke's ill centring sticky shaft that I use just now, comes with an external throttle unit and you can buy more throttle units for multi engine aircraft in Microsoft Flight sim. I've seen prices of about $149 mentioned for this, so maybe just over £100 in the UK?

Not only that, but Saitek are bringing out LCD instruments as modules early next year, good to see stuff like this coming out at an affordable price.

Looks nice. I use a Saitek X45 joystick / throttle combo that I've had for about a year now and am extremely happy with. Gives me just the precision I need for airshow routines on FS9!

Yup ... I have a TM Cougar for HOTAS as well as RCS, but like to use a yoke for FSX and FS9 flying when I'm in the mood, but reviews pending, the Saitek yoke is looking very good.

I also have the Cougar attached to a modified set of pro pedals and a track ir 3. But those displays do look rather special don't they. and as for the multi engined throttle unit that saitek have brought out as well. Ummm.

Nige.

First review of the Saitek yoke is out and its looking pretty good, the problems everyone has with the sticky non centring shaft on the CH yoke seem to have been resolved with the Saitek's steel shaft, only downside is the mention of the feel on the rocker switch's ... if I found it bad I'd replace with metal ones from electronic suppliers like Maplins.

Not mentioned in the review or maybe I missed it? I read elsewhere that the bottom notch on the throttle does have a distinct notch for idle and if you pull it below this it will engage thrust reverse, have noticed that unlike the CH Yoke that is curved and sloped, the Saitek is flat, so you could put your keyboard on there,

Now ... I wonder when they will be available in the UK?
