I have all the franchise and play it (stand alone) two or three times a week, never get tired of it, love it to death, but have NEVER worked-out how to take screen shots ! - If anybody can educate me - in VERY BASIC LANGUAGE - I'd be really grateful !

Ooh... Nigel gave me this a couple of months ago, but cos my graphics card was playing up, I've never played it. Is it any good?

Don't you just hit "Print Screen" on your keyboard, and then paste it into your photo editing program?

Oh he is funny. Him

I've been playing it for a number of years. In fact too many, I was even in a online sqn once upon a time (Geeky) and used to fly online twice a week.Do you have 1946? Screen shots. Dead easy download a program called Fraps. Not only does it take screen shots but also video and FPS readings. Heres a link. Fraps

Nigel.

Yep I got 1946, but am having difficulty adding-in 'Fall Blau' and 'Ostfront', could be me being a techno-a*se. Will keep trying. Gotta love that IL10 in 1946, and those Ki27's are slippery little beasts too, but you can blow them away after some practice with the I-152 ! shoot.gif . Nigel, thanks for the link, I'll try it next week.

I have noticed over the years that a lot of simmers are also modellers. I planned on doing kits of all the planes out of IL2 when it first came out. But with what with FB and 46 theres no way I could build that many and stillstay married. Ian if you need help with any apect of IL2, or any other sim come to the think of it. Pop over to Sim HQ. There are some very knowlegdable people over there. Even Oleg Maddox posts there occasionally.

I've been playing IL2 on and off since the original release, keep meaning to get back on Hyperlobby and try it again, do have the latest 1946 release, but am mainly flying boring civvie sims like FS2004 and FSX just now.

Maybe we could have a Britmodeler online meet sometime where we fly in teams or just try killing each other in the virtual sky smile.gif

In theory it sounds great - I'm just wary 'bout 'setting-up' and any potential damage that it may inflict on my PC. I got it 'just right' very stable, not 'quirky' like some of my friends seem to suffer. However I have a mate here at work who plays CoD online and has never encountered any problems. I guess that I'm saying a qualified yes, but being somewhat 'techno-challenged' I'd need some poor soul to talk me through the set-up.

Just d/l Hyperlobby and meet there. It won't do any harm to your PC. Trust me. I'm a Policeman. crap.gif

I'll definately be up for a game. Just got to install it all and setup hyperlobby and I'll prepare to start ground pounding biggrin.gif
