Hi all, here's a picture of what I'm planning to build for the GB. both in 1/35Th scale and tamiya. Mk1 Merkava and Japanese light armoured vehicle with figures.
The merkava is a tank i have always admired but never built so this is a first for me. I'm planning to detail it a little. the Japanese vehicle is going to get the voyager etched set thrown at it and a small dio built for it and the figures

I am in the proses of gathering information and pictures for the builds and working out if i should build both together or separately.
cheers
Pete

I've got a box of spare parts for it as well (thanks Sean)
Might build something else as well, we'll see how things go.

Pete, I've got quite a few pictures of the Japanese in Iraq on my HD - I'll post em up for you when I get chance.
And wouldn't you know it, I picked up that figure set today myself

Was thinking of picking up a suitable kit to pose them around at Fairford.

I might as well build something Ive actually driven and dossed in many a time, and what better way to build my first WheelyThingy than in a GB. Thanks for the chance Pete

I made that Bedford for a diorama last year

, IIRC the fit was fairly good and it marked one of my first "wheely thingys"!
I wasn't very apt at masking at the time and the one piece clear upper cab piece came out a bit crap

However I'm sure you'll make a good job of it!
Have fun Bex!

Hello folks,
I thought I`d put up a few pictures of Cromwell Models Aussie Centurion. The scale is 1:76 and it really is beautifully cast.I`ve added a tin of Revell paint just to add a sense of scale. What you see there consists of three pieces, hull ,turret and gun test fitted together. There are another dozen or so bits to add including the rear fuel tank, turret hatches etc. I think I`ll add maybe a couple of crew figures to it and a .30 cal on the roof from the airfix jeep kit,and mount it on a small base. If you like Centurions (and who here doesn`t) buy one!

Picked this one up from the Tyneside show for £15.
Cheers,Tim.

Its really nice, the first resin armour kit I`ve bought. At first I though £15......

,but then you consider that Dragon armour kits are now £10-£11 in 1/72 it didn`t seem so bad, considering the high rejection rate of resin castings.

I'm no expert but that sounds very reasonable for a resin kit.

Can I build one please?
I'll be building the Airfix Challenger 2 (which I've been told is a Trumpeter rebox) and an Academy Warrior MCV. Both in 1/35 scale, and they will be my first big scale ones.
If I feel really sick, I could do them in a diorama!

I'll have to have a think, or maybe a lie down

Cheers

Guys I'm going to have to stop the builds of my two entries for the GB as I've lost so many of the small fittings that they will be incomplete. And I can't see the point of carrying on with them.
So sorry guys.
But I will return with something else.

Hi all,
I am hoping to join in this group build as my -

- first build on a forum
- and first group build!
so please take it easy on me

Plans are to build an Academy 1/35 Warrior MCV in UN Paintscheme. I started it last night so expect some photo's to appear in the main build forum this evening.
