Hi all, here's a picture of what I'm planning to build for the GB. both in 1/35Th scale and tamiya. Mk1 Merkava and Japanese light armoured vehicle with figures.
The merkava is a tank i have always admired but never built so this is a first for me. I'm planning to detail it a little. the Japanese vehicle is going to get the voyager etched set thrown at it and a small dio built for it and the figures

I am in the proses of gathering information and pictures for the builds and working out if i should build both together or separately.
cheers
Pete
Mish
Well I'm in with this:

I've got a box of spare parts for it as well (thanks Sean)
Might build something else as well, we'll see how things go.
Dave
Here's mine:

Pete, I've got quite a few pictures of the Japanese in Iraq on my HD - I'll post em up for you when I get chance.

And wouldn't you know it, I picked up that figure set today myself wink.gif Was thinking of picking up a suitable kit to pose them around at Fairford.

I did say I wasnt feeling well yikes.gif I might as well build something Ive actually driven and dossed in many a time, and what better way to build my first WheelyThingy than in a GB. Thanks for the chance Pete thumbsup2.gif

Bex
Mish
Is this the kit you made me swear that I'd never tell anyone you had in the stash sis? hmmm.gif
The step, one little step into the dark, come on you know you want to.....
evil_laugh.gif
bexwh773
That be the one Sis analintruder.gif You know I wondered how long it would take for the p*ss taking to start rofl.gif a bit longer than I than thought yahoo.gif Go forth and let the barrage commence, Im well defended in my Naughty Corner Bunker tease.gif

I made that Bedford for a diorama last year tapedshut.gif , IIRC the fit was fairly good and it marked one of my first "wheely thingys"!

I wasn't very apt at masking at the time and the one piece clear upper cab piece came out a bit crap sad.gif

However I'm sure you'll make a good job of it!

Have fun Bex! thumbsup.gif

Cheers

The Scorpion arrived today, so it's all systems go, go, go. thumbsup.gif
Dave
Nice Pete.
Gonna build it as a Kiwi version with Merdc camo? wink.gif
snipersmudge
it's a nice kit the scorpion, i'm itching to start my builds roll on sunday!!
T-Tango
Building it as Gulf camo (Desert Storm).
Derbyeomanry
Might well make a start on Tamiya 1/48 M10 straight OOB - first build in ages
CPNGROATS
I would like to join this "merry band" with my first all resin armor kit, that is, a M26A1 Pershing, 1/72, from Tracks & Troops. The prototype used by the U.S.Army during the Korean war.

Cheers,
ggc

daz greenwood
Well I've decided what I'm going to build for starters guys and gals.

Sorry about the quality of the pics.

This was my first time using Imageshack. As Photobucket was mucking about again.

A Type 61.

A Type 74.

And a Type 90.

Thanx for looking.

Cheers Daz
T-Tango
No, no, no Daz, you only 'ave to build one model, not the whole bl**dy army. wicked.gif
daz greenwood
Ok Pete.

But you have to admit they are good looking Tanks though mate.
snipersmudge
Hey Daz welcome back, got the mud out from between your toes yet?. looking forwards to your builds, got a soft spot for japanese armour me!
daz greenwood
Hi Pete.

Where I was mate with all that mud I felt like I was in the Somme.

I can't wait to get started.
snipersmudge
glad you got back safe, yep i'm really looking forwards to getting started. I think i will start with the Merkava first
daz greenwood
Can't wait to see your Chariot Pete.

Hello folks,
I thought I`d put up a few pictures of Cromwell Models Aussie Centurion. The scale is 1:76 and it really is beautifully cast.I`ve added a tin of Revell paint just to add a sense of scale. What you see there consists of three pieces, hull ,turret and gun test fitted together. There are another dozen or so bits to add including the rear fuel tank, turret hatches etc. I think I`ll add maybe a couple of crew figures to it and a .30 cal on the roof from the airfix jeep kit,and mount it on a small base. If you like Centurions (and who here doesn`t) buy one!

Picked this one up from the Tyneside show for £15.
Cheers,Tim.
Mish
Very nice detail on it.

Very nice detail on it.

Its really nice, the first resin armour kit I`ve bought. At first I though £15...... hmmm.gif ,but then you consider that Dragon armour kits are now £10-£11 in 1/72 it didn`t seem so bad, considering the high rejection rate of resin castings.
Mish
I'm no expert but that sounds very reasonable for a resin kit.
CPNGROATS
Tim: Nice details on the Cromwell, resin molding really can capture the details..I'm looking forward to seeing your painting/detailing on this one..

Cheers,
ggc
timraven1992
Can I build one please? wink.gif
I'll be building the Airfix Challenger 2 (which I've been told is a Trumpeter rebox) and an Academy Warrior MCV. Both in 1/35 scale, and they will be my first big scale ones.
If I feel really sick, I could do them in a diorama! analintruder.gif

I'll have to have a think, or maybe a lie down laugh.gif

Cheers

Tim you are more than welcome, great kit choices too!
Pete
Nev
Well, I was so ****** off about RIAT I walked into Chesterfield and bought meself this beauty from the craft shop in town.

Gotta clear a couple of other kits off the bench before I can get really stuck in, but its been too long since I did a tank

daz greenwood
Hi Tim.

The Airfix Chally 2 is a re-boxing of the Trumpy kit.

And Nev.

I like the Type 90 mate. I'm building a Type 61 at the moment.
Stebos
Going to give my first armour build a shot, out of the few modern armour kits I have I've gone for the M977 HEMTT.
daz greenwood
Guys I'm going to have to stop the builds of my two entries for the GB as I've lost so many of the small fittings that they will be incomplete. And I can't see the point of carrying on with them.

So sorry guys.

But I will return with something else.

Cheers Daz

I'm thinking of doing a partner for the Scorpion. How about a Scimitar in Gulf Desert Scheme, a Recon Duo?
