Hi all,

The boxart shows a Mk IIc with the cannons, but I will build it as a Mk I.

Nice tidy bit of balsa bashing so far Erwin thumbsup.gif
Mish
Amazing Erwin. I actually found some of these Guillow's kits in a hobby shop the other week
Good start. popcorn.gif
Erwin
Covered it all with 1,5 mm balsasheet. The rim and tips will be sanded round after the glue has set.

Erwin
The wing is finished...

Mish
You're a fast worker Erwin
Tizzy
The nickname wooden wonder normally applies to the Mosquito. On this site the name applies to one of Erwin's balsa models.Looking good so far.
Azgaron

Ready for painting.

I first coated it with grey to see where I needed to do some more filling. Sanded it all smooth again.

Before you all jump into your pens. I know the exhausts are not correct. But they were the only once I had that come close to 1/28 th scale.

Erwin my friend,

Firstly, youre doing a brilliant job on this wooden wonder thumbsup2.gif Ive not seen anything like it before bow.gif bow.gif

Secondly, its your model, and if those stubs are all youve got to hand then stuff the Rivet Counters, just ignore them thumbsup2.gif

Thank's Bex.

Those " stubs" are from the 1/32 nd Revell Typhoon kit. I will also use the LG and doors from that kit.

Great work there Erwin.

I've got a confession to make. I still haven't posted the decals yet. Our little one's been keeping us awake at night for the last week, so I'm like a zombie at the moment and am forgetting tons of things.

I'll get them in the post tomorrow. Promise.

Never seen these balsa kits before... looking very good so far, they must be feather light.
Erwin
Waiting for the codeletters to arrive and a bit more work on the LG and drawing some lines.

PetrOs

Looks good! Where do you get these nice balsa models? Would be an interesting thing to try these. Are they also suited to be done flyable?

Thanks.

Some I buy over the internet. But I simply order than at my LHS and get them in about 2 weeks.

These kits are for flying models. Either by small electric or gasmotor or by rubberband.

But then you must cover it all by tissiue and not wood like I do.

But beware of a bad landing. They are very fragile.

Erwin: You Sir, are the King of balsa..! bow.gif

"Erwin: I can go for that....when do we vote..??" Voted for D-Day, today..! ( Dakota dreaming..will certainly be something special)

Nice Hurricane Erwin!
Erwin
Thank you all for the very nice comments. blush.gif

Building wooden builds isn't realy that difficult...once you know how to.

Anyway,no more wooden builds for some time now.Waiting for the result of the poll to see wich one will be on the buildtable.

The C-47 is almost a certainty for my D-Day memorial next year.

These are my wooden kits in the stach...
