  1. Courtesy of Naval & Military Press... both volumes of these. Not cheap by any means and the amount of research done is incredible. Regards, Steve
  2. Ey up Martin, I'm good thanks and hope you and Alison are too. I've had no issues cleaning the airbrush thus far and don't find it any different to cleaning a 'standard' airbrush. As for the airbrush cleaner.... ðŸĪŠ Regards, Steve
  3. I really like it and have had no problem adjusting to the trigger, i actually find it easier to use and control 👍 Regards, Steve
  4. Was my birthday yesterday and had some money to spend.... Mission accomplished courtesy of a trip to Crossgates Model Shop today 😁 Regards, Steve
  5. A new squirt gun for base coats. I have a Sparmax trigger airbrush but this is a side feed and i don't like how it sits, so went for one of these for less than ÂĢ50 of Amazon Have seen good write ups and a car modeller mate of mine has one and he rates it highly. Regards, Steve
  6. How do chaps, A mate of mine who is a car modeller put me onto these. Some of the after market decals he uses are insanely complex and this stuff handles them all 👍 I also seem to have aquired an interest in British military trucking! Now have the full set (British Military WW2 Trucks not pictured) All were bought new from Paul Meekins Books for a good price and are an early birthday prezzie from Mrs fatingers 😁 Regards, Steve
  7. Just had a good look around their site and placed an order. Really good stuff as you say. Thanks for the heads up 👍 Regards, Steve
  8. How do chaps, Now that the modelling mojo is back, i managed a cheeky visit to Crossgates Model Shop today. Also helped I was working about 15 mins away today. Got there about 20 mins before they closed so it was a bit like Supermarket Sweep! ðŸĪ All at decent prices. The KV1 was near on a tenner less than I had seen it in another model shop i visit. Regards, Steve
  9. When abroad i'm often asked if i am Irish.... i can only assume its my strong Yorkshire accent! ðŸĪ·â€â™‚ïļ Was once at Lake Garda and ordered some gelato for myself and mrs fatfingers. The vendor spoke to me in German. I replied i was English, he apologised and knocked 2 euros off the price 😆 Lake Garda is a beautiful place, but at times i felt like a member of the BEF in 1940... namely trying to get on a boat before the Germans turned up! (No offence intended to our German friends 😉) Regards, Steve
  10. Many years ago when i was a barman a customer asked me how i knew when a barrel was empty. I told him it took years of experience to know this and that no more beer comes out of the pump. Suffice to say he slinked away from the bar. I was in a high end shoe shop in Leeds a good few years back and asked the Saturday lad if they had a particular shoe in black size 11. He went off and a fair while later he came back with a box. He opened it and said.... we don't have a size 11 in black but whe have a size 9 in brown! Mrs fatfingers had to physically restrain me! ðŸĪĢ Regards, Steve
  11. How do chaps, Following on from my T34 this is another kit that has been sat on the shelf of doom for a few years. I'd already base coated the model, so this was a case of adding the decals, detail painting and weathering etc. Decals needed care when applying, but they gave me no real trouble, apart from the star on the bonnet. Pics below and all comments welcome. Regards, Steve
  12. Area's of Leeds less salobrious..... surely not?! 😆
  13. That is impressive and love the WAAF sat on the back 👍 Top job mate. Regards, Steve
  14. How do chaps. It's been a really long time since I posted up a RFI. This has been due to various things such as loss of mojo and life in general. Here we have the old Tamiya T34 Mod 1942. I originally built this kit for the T34 GB back in 2020! ðŸ˜ē I 'redescovered' it whilst having a sort out and thought get it finished and here is the end result. The green is a mix of Tamiya XF26 Deep Green, XF61 Dark Green and a drop of XF71 IJN Cockpit Green. The base is a cheap photo frame with a 'stoney step' scenic grass matt attached. I then added clump foliage around the tracks to make the tank look its sat in the base as opposed to being on it. Really enjoyed doing this and am chuffed at how well it turned out. Its good to be back in the flow again 👍 Regards, Steve
  15. An excellent film that i've not see for many years. As the war went on i imagine the French conscripted older men to replace the significant losses they experienced. Soldiers in the reserve battalions could be in their late 40's! ðŸ˜ē Regards, Steve
