To cut a long story short, my isp contract (plusnet) ends in sep and I have to let it expire before moving over to a new isp. That leaves me with no internet while I arrange another isp and it'll take about 2 weeks to do that. In the meantime I can use tethering from my mobile or I could buy a sim router (about £75 for the kind I need) and shove the sim into that for my internet. I assume there'll be a difference in signal strength but I'm wondering if there'd be any real difference in speed between tethered and sim router? Anyone got any experience with this? TIA Neil
