  1. Finally got the PAG-14s and made to size, about to send them off for painting, have tried to show the uneven nature of PAG-14 surfaces, my first experience of landing on one had me thinking that the undercarriage had broken!! Once I have got the plates painted I'll use aquarium sealant to fill between the plates.
  2. Another top-up, nearly finished.
  3. Hi All, Another little update.
  4. What about a scan of the picture? Moving onwards, on her legs now. Some more. Another one tacked on trather than opening a new sheet.
  5. Hi All, Another picture top-up. OK Guys, a bit of spit-balling. The scenario, 1982 the government realises that war with the Soviet Union is a distinct likelihood and in the near term. The Vulcan is becoming tired and any likely successor (B1 Bomber) is too expensive or too far away from fruition. Government asks Bae to look again at the TSR-2, both airframes are withdrawn from museums, a 3rd complete airframe, is built from different airframes hidden away at several govt research establishments. A complete set of production gigs found in RAF museum Cardington collection. First “new” airframe leaves production line March 1983, to speed acceptance, many items remain unchanged from original specs, major changes are much modified RR Olympus engines and digital avionics to replace the old valve technology of the original airframes. Move forward to late June 1986, a factory fresh Eagle GR1B of 617Sqn, AG-A Spirit of Dinghy (not finished with the name yet) Plane carries 1400gal drop tank, 2x 2000lb GBU-10, + 2x 2000lb GBU-10 & retractable Pave Tack pod, used after tank is jettisoned, 2x AS 37 ARM Martels and finally 2x AIM9L Sidewinders on overwing rails. Interested in thoughts? What RWRs would she use, I'm not a fan of the std RAF RWRs, something flush fitted would be a LOT nicer... Is the Cammet & Model Alliance stuff still available?
  6. Equipment bay and Upper Air-Brakes.
  7. Hi Guys, Thanks for the guidence, particularly Sir Anthony Cecil Hogmanay Melchett, the Cammo'd Eagle has got things going, I would fancy a BAe Eagle, fresh of the production lines in 1986, about to take part in the opening NATO strike of the 1986-7 European (NATO) War. Sir Sidney Camm definatelly had it right!!!
  8. Cheers Nick, Far from finished, loved the pics of Melchie's Eagle! Could find a 2nd on the stocks.....
  9. Sir Anthony Cecil Hogmanay, Thanks for you're advice, things are getting back onto track. Just seen you had a Backfire build, far too late but I have some pics of Backfire A, B, C and Tu-134 Combat Trainer. Didn't get that many pics, rain and a complaining girlfriend shortened the photo session, but I will be back in a month or so and hopefully get a LOT more pics. Hell of a line-up, those listed above plus Bear-F. Kit/Pavla comparisons. Beginning to come together.
  10. Hi Tom, She's going to be a prototype. That said I wrote a scenario around 3A a Mk9 Chieftain belonging to 2nd Bn Irish Guards, Guards Armoured Division that placed the subject leading the GAD just after the liberation of Kharkiv, Ukraine. Part of the scenario sees the TSR-2 making a comeback as a replacement for the Vulcan, simply with warclouds approaching the TSR-2 was the quickest route to a new long-range strike bomber. So...... There could be room for a grey/green TSR-2/BAe Eagle in the future. Back to subject, the Pavla cockpit tub seems to be a big no-no for the TSR-2, there is a 3mm gap at the rear and the tub is too wide for the model. Nick, Yes Please!
  11. Does anyone have any comments about the fit of the Pavla cockpit?
  12. Bit of a delay, but first pics.
  13. That's it, I keep trying to get some photos to illustrate this. Another one is that in dry conditions tracks rapidly get worn to bare metal, not quite shiny, but not far off so, once this was done, all it took was some damp and once stationary (in Bks) the tracks rapidly rusted. But once again run cross country the rust would have been rapidly worn off. Hope this helps.
  14. Hi Mate, The only fault that i can pickout is the tracks, you've got the road wheels perfect, but the road wheele contact area of the tracks get squeegeeded clean by the roadwheels and shiny from the constant wearing effect of the roadwheel contact. Hope this helps Mick
