  1. Working on the engines at the minute, these are enormous compared to the A320! Not sure what livery I’m going to do yet, will decide further along the build. 27F1486F-73A2-4812-89CD-BF2ED59C00A1 by Simon Williams, on Flickr

  4. Revell A380 Got this kit the other day as I’ve been inspired/motivated by others here. Just built an Airbus A320 in the same scale (1:144) wasn’t quite prepared for just how much bigger the A380 is! sprues have been washed, paint has been ordered as well as the hannants metal parts. This will be my biggest build to date having usually built in 1:72. I’ll add pictures when I figure ou how too!

  10. OK, so, i decided to build the airfix kit for a couple of reasons, firstly, as i havnt built anything in years i thought id use it to get my 'eye in' as it where. And secondly to try and do the best build i can. ran in to a couple of problems straight away mainly to do with the differences between a mk lll and a mk v the biggest being the radar bulge on the bottom of the fuselage, i have had to remove it and leave out the top turret and fill in the holes that have been left and also the window above the wing, filling all done and rubbed down but here is my next problem. How do i get the panel markings back (rivets and such like?) and what would be the best primer/paint to use. over to you.....
  11. Thanks for the help, as a result I've so far been able to get the 4 bladed props, engines and radiators, havnt been able to get the undercarriage yet so its coming along, will starring build as soon as I've got the rest. Once again, thank you
  12. Hello, this is my first post so feel free to move it if its in the wrong place. I found out recently that my great uncle was a flight sergeant on Halifax's during the war. I, know he flew mk v's and the squadron he was in and even the aircraft no's ( ll401, ll406 the later being flown on D Day to tow hamilcar gliders) so, I want to build one. I have both the airfix kit and the matchbox kit but am unsure of where and which one to begin, your help would be much appreciated as I havnt built a model since I was a kid Thank you
