  1. The 72nd Aircraft and Hyperscale Plane Talking forums seem to work fine; why not just transfer everything over to Tapatalk? John
  2. I'm not a P-40 expert, or even an expert about anything useful, but how about these: https://plastic-models-store.com/rexx-32080-1-32-p-40b-for-gwh-kit-rexx32080 It says they were intended for the GWH kit, but with application of basic modelling skills, etc., etc.,... I've used REXx products on 1/72 kits, and they look great - very realistic, to my eyes. John
  3. Thank you, Homebee! It will be interesting to see how this one compares with the Clear Prop! La-5 kits. John
  4. Well done, Arma. I ordered a set of Hataka paints, and added a preorder for the Me-262, just to bulk things up a bit. The 262 is such a good-looking aircraft, even if it's outside my usual field of interest. The kit I really wanted, though, was the Yak-1b. So now Arma chooses to reissue it... 🤬
  5. I'm just relieved to know that I'm not a malicious bot. Although I have been finding myself crying out, "EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!" in a strange voice a lot lately... Jonek
  6. My mistake - every time I try to open it, I have the same problem as Bikitzer reports. So something is not right. If it works for you, good on ya. John
  7. Good luck with that - AFAIK, ARC is like the Monty Python parrot - "It is no more. It has ceased to be. It's expired and gone to meet its maker. This is a late parrot. It's a stiff bereft of life. It rests in peace." Sorry. John
  8. Well, don't forget the Yak-9D released 2 or 3 years ago (#7313). It was almost ruined by that strange U-shaped underside joint between the upper and lower wing surfaces; maybe they'll do a 1/72 Yak-9T/-9K with a more normal assembly design. Probably not, but... John
  9. Hmmm - well, interesting - I was wondering what Zvezda's next WWII fighter would be, after the recent I-16. Actually, I thought they might offer a Spitfire or a Mustang, but the La-5 is a logical choice. John
  10. Does this help? It's the interior 3D decal set from Quinta, intended for the Tamiya P-47D, but might be an improvement, by the sound of it: https://quinta-studio.com/catalog/interiors_3d_decal/QD72122/ John
  11. He doesn't need glue - once he positions all the parts, he fixes them in place by simply glaring at them. John
  12. Tell all your complaints about scale, tires, and surface detail to Blue Tee-Shirt Guy... John
  13. Well, FWIW, Scalemates says it's a new tool: https://www.scalemates.com/kits/revell-03781-messerschmitt-bf-109e-3--1598203 John
  14. Okay, now I see it! The last time I searched for "I-16" on Quinta's site, all I got was 1/48 stuff. Apparently I messed up somehow - thanks, @Homebee, for putting me straight! John
  15. Aw, it's not a real Beaver without floats! When I was a kid, I hitched a ride with Phil Garratt (then CEO of DeHavilland Canada) from his summer cottage on Lake of Bays near my hometown to Toronto to go to the CNE. He commuted to DeH Canada at Downsview every day in his yellow Beaver floatplane CF-PCG. I wouldn't mind doing one in yellow with black markings (somehow) in his memory. John
