  1. Interesting but shame we only see the fuselage and a few other parts at the moment.
  2. Thought it didn't look quite right (front isn't flat enough for a start) and would've been nice to have an old Clubman for a change. Shame.
  3. Is this little red car a Mini Clubman? http://www.hasegawa-model.co.jp/product/20595/
  4. Considering how small it is it doesn't look too bad. Much better shape than Revells larger kit. Might pick one up.
  5. Well this could be true and I'm fairly sure it's safe to say that the larger kits like 1/32 and 1/24 don't sell in the numbers the smaller kits do and for some strange reason it is true yes that Tamiya do have a habit of releasing types that could have multiple variations and they don't do them (their 1/48th Beaufighter and 1/35 MKIV Male being prime examples to me) but I think I'd challenge what you say that maybe more more people wanted the glass nose Mosquito and more people would've bought a 1/32 P38 than a Mosquito.
  6. I was going to wait to build a Spey 70s camouflaged Phantom a few years ago when I read about a new "supposed" 1/32 kit from HK.......but then I thought sod it I'll build up the Revell/Hasegawa 1/48th kit which I had in my stash instead as judging by other kit manufacturers it could be years away if at all. Thank god I did otherwise I wouldn't have a Spey now and same with the Mig 25 from Avante Garde which has never appeared. Ok I built the Kittyhawk kit which has plenty of faults (I wish the ICM kit was available back when I started the KH kit) but because I've built many other kits in between I'm glad I've at least got something. We'd be waiting forever for these kits otherwise.
  7. Cool stuff but why do none of the links people post on here not work for me anymore?
  8. I'm building (trying to finish off after many years) Canberra B2 WE113 (Airfix 1/48). Someone on here (who shall remain nameless) made some decals for me a few years ago but even he admitted they were substandard. In fact most of them were pixalated, badly printed and pretty much unusable and as far as I can see mostly inaccurate. Anyway after putting it on the back burner for many years I'm trying to finish it off in a 70/80s colour scheme. I've got a few photo's such as the following ....... https://abpic.co.uk/pictures/registration/WE113 but I need as many references as possible to finally finish it off. I particularly need some stencil references (very similar aircraft might do) and especially need some top and underside photo's. I'll probably be finishing it off in this 1989 scheme..... https://abpic.co.uk/pictures/view/1045992 It looks like the aircraft has been repainted even in the 70s and 80s a few times judging by these photo's ..... For instance the camouflage/stencils on the left side are slightly different in this 1982 photo .... https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/5612549 to this..... https://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/photo/000757472.html and also the letters WE113 are on the underside of the wings in the 1982 photo..... https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/5612549 whilst on this later 1991 photo (top of the page) the letters appear to have been painted over and the 70/80s roundels are there instead. http://www.simplyplanes.co.uk/english_electric_canberra_cockpits.shtml I've got some spare decals which I'd like to use to replace the substandard ones that were made for me (I've replaced the red warning and red cross decals on the right front side like in the1989 photo again... https://abpic.co.uk/pictures/view/1045992 but I'd like to know exactly what the stencils etc are (wording etc). Ones I've got so far are as follows...... Top triangle (next to the main door) I've got as "canopy" Triangle below it as "ejection seat" .............. On the left front hand side I've got...... "canopy" near the front of the fuselage (next to "entrance other side") and "ejection seat" not above it but next to it. Is that correct? More questions to follow. P.S. some individual photo's aren't displaying for me so you might have to scroll down etc.
  9. I'm certainly no expert on sales etc but I wonder if they're looking too much to the short term and many people don't always buy straight away and sometimes wait for different variants. For instance I haven't long made a few Special Hobby Vamps and I probably won't buy the 1st 1/32 release as it's too similar to the versions I have in 1/72 (I'd rather build as many different variants/colour schemes as possible) as I don't want any repition in any scale.
  10. Thanks dov and that's the colour (light grey) that I painted it.
  11. I'll be buying at least 1 of these in the near future but even though I'm not a fan of the Pinocchio nose version.....why do those parts in resin? Just do all the main parts in plastic and offer resin parts for those who want a bit of extra detail. It always bugs me how some (mainly Eastern European) manufacturers bring out injection plastic kits but with 1 or 2 resin parts for main details like the wheels or engine parts. I think resin should be for any fine details people want to add not any main parts.
  12. Tamiya are experts at that also. Even when making multiple figures they have the same faces and often bodies as well. And I like to have pilots and wouldn't be surprised if many others do too. Typical of model companies having a one track mindset sometimes It's bugged me for years now how many kit reviewers do the standard seatbelts etc and not pilots as if everyone thinks the same. Sometimes no doubt it's because the reviewers can't paint figures very well if at all yet some/many model companies think that's what everyone wants
  13. I haven't added weight to my models for years. The last one I added weight to (a load of nuts and bolts) was the 1/48 EE Lightning. It's a real pain trying to find stuff to weight models and I found it held up the build for much longer than it should. I now use a piece of clear sprue or a stand type structure. I wish companies would include weights (like with Tamiya's Meteor). It saves a lot of hassle.
