  1. Quick question regarding the Italeri 1/72 KC-135... (Saw a couple in the local model/toy shop - didn't know there was a recent boxing of the -135 or that it had been released!) Is anybody able to confirm if this model is a reboxing (in the style of the B-52) of the old AMT model, with updated decals/paint schemes?? Or is it a new model altogether? Many Thanks Iain
  2. Cheers for the answers, guys. Two digit so they are Humbrol then... That PJ Productions looks good, tad expensive for me though... Will wait to see on that one for when it and then the reviews come out... Many thanks! Iain
  3. Whether this is the correct place for this question, I don't know... I have got the Heller 1/48 Alphajet in my collection (read some horror stories about it, but oh well the 'best offering' available that I know of so far) My question is not about the Alphajet per se, but rather about the colours that are listed in instructions... Can I confirm that the listed colours are actually Humbrol numbers?? Or are they another paint lot, like a Heller own brand or equivalent? Cheers, Iain
  4. I have asked these before on other forums, but have mislaid the answers... I have a Rafale M (Revell 1/48) and also the Revell 1/72 offering of the Breguet Atlantic (original, not the anniversary mks version). My question is this, I have painted some of the top half of the Atlantic in a grey suggested before, but the grey used is far too dark for my liking... I don't feel that the colour is right at all, yes it looks like the colour on the box art, but I'm after the lighter grey tone seen on them. Does anyone have any ideas on the colour to use? (I am lazy so a single paint would be preferable to a mixture!) On the second model, the Rafale M, I have painted the majority of the model, but have forgotten what colour I used (it may have been Revell 374), I know you can't tell me what paint I used, but and accurate number would be great and I can start painting it again... All help greatly appreciated, Iain
  5. Ta for the help on the seat front... To be honest I wasn't sure if the colour that the instructions calls for (Black) was just because the entire interior is instructed as painted black! (must admit, I have added some artistic license from other images on Airliners.net and have gone for a 'white' and slightly more detailed inside, for all the good it'll do and how visible it will be... Not!) As for the spinners on XF730 (bl/gn/w) I haven't fully decided on using that scheme anyways, but useful to clear it up early... Once again, ta for the help! Iain
  6. Ok, currently building the 1/72 Revell Shackleton MR.3... I have a question regarding the colour of the pilots seats... I haven't found any good images of them online (maybe I've not looked hard enough... LOL) My second concerns the spinner cones of the props. The instructions refer to them being painted in Blue/Green/White for one of the examples... Does anyone have any knowledge of the spinners being these colours (XF730 is the example from 120 Sqn, 1965) All answers/comments/help/input extremely grateful!! Iain
