Is adding weight in the nose of a jet allowed where stated on the instructions?

Am home from work.
Haven't gotta go back 'til Tuesday, Unfortunately, what I don't have is the bloody kit I won off e-bay last week. Might have a little trip up Toys R us, see what i can grab. |

Just got back from Hobbycraft with my kits. A 1/72 Red Arrows Gnat and a 1/72 Spit Mk1. I'll also try and spring a 1/24 Peugeot 206 or a Pug 307 rally car Gift Set (if I can find either of them in the stash

Hi Guys,
I would like to join in with the new P-47 starter set kit, and my daughter Izzy (7) would like to join in with a gazelle (bought today in great anticipation). I hope you dont mind her joining in too, although this is my first GB on Britmodeller, I have done a few on ARC, and she nearly always joins me on them. Izzy just wants to do a helicopter, as her last build was a tomcat and she fancies something different. I chose the thunderbolt as I have never built a WWII kit before (except for a few 1/144 ones), and fancied something different. I am really looking forward to this one, like most people on here, I think its a great idea. Cheers Tim and Izzy |

Oh yes! What a great idea! I'm in with a F-5 E Tiger II I've just picked up from the local toy shop. I thought that as it comes with 6 paints, I stand a fighting chance of it looking ok when done (apart from inevitable glossy decals of course!). Still, it's all part of the fun. Hope to do it in an afternoon too, just like the old days.....
Cheers Kirk |

Welcome, welcome, welcome to you all. I've added you to the growing list.
Smiffy I had you down for a F-14 Tomcat.... did I get that wrong? The hour of commencement is fast approaching so if you would all like to make your way to the current build area... |

Hi guys and girls,
I'd like to join with the Spitfire MkIXc/XVIe kit in 48 scale. I will do it as a clipped wing version. Can I confirm that we are allowed to use masking tape for getting nice edges? This will take me back. No stress, no strain, just nice and easy. Look forward to it. Cheers, Kev C. |

Smiffy I had you down for a F-14 Tomcat.... did I get that wrong? No, that is correct. I ordered the Tomcat from e-bay, then afterwards I thought I'd better check to see if it was eligible. That's when I posted the pic (using the e-bay shot). It just ain't turned up yet. |

That's a bit of a pest ain't it? So plan B with a series 1 perhaps? I think I'm just gonna wait for the Tomcat to arrive. Gonna go diving into the stash later and find something to knock together for me-self this weekend. For everyone starting today, have fun! |

Kev It's OK to use tape but to be sure is that kit a starter kit - i.e. comes with brush, glue and paint? |

Mark the lazy OK so it counts... I didn't recognize it that's all. I know Kev's had trouble sourcing a suitable kit. |
