Thanks for the nice comments everyone, much appreciated! Arrestor hook comment noted, seems I have finally found a Modeldecal sheet that needs a correction, I may modify the model if I can find a decent photo. It will be displayed at Shuttleworth on Sunday although not neccesarily on the Wallingford stand, hope to see some of you there. MODeller Hi MODeller, This is about the clearest I've found so far... Hunter T.7A XF321 at Greenham Common The arrestor hook arrangement is exactly the same as on the GA.11s and T.8s, so you could use any of them as references too. Thanks for that Steve, there is an arrestor hook in the Echelon parts box so it will be duly attached on Monday! MODeller |

Good man!
Don't forget that the tail bumper was larger than on the non-arrestor hook aircraft, a little further aft (straddling the tailcone/fuselage joint) and offset to port to clear the hook. This post has been edited by StephenMG: Mar 13 2010, 10:54 AM |

Nice ripple hunter!
That looks really good, nice job on the colours. Can I ask exactly what you used as I have the Ripple DC-3 in the stash waiting. Julien |

Julien Hi Julien, I have used Revell Aqua Gloss White 04 and Gloss Night Blue 54 with Xtracrylics Signal Red. You could use Humbrol Gloss Midnight Blue 15 and Satin Signal Red 174 as alternatives. Hi Brian, You have my mouth watering. After seeing this & your magazine spread, I now know what the first aircraft model I build will be, after I finish my Spanish dragoon conversion. I have an Aeroclub 2 seat Hunter in my stash that will soon see the light of day. Carl T

The model was well received at Shuttleworth on Sunday as I managed to grab a couple of empty tables and put on a "mini" Testing Colours display. MODeller |
