Any idea when Sky will show the Pacific on the "regular" movie channels? Not being one with Premiere HD or whatever the channel is, I will have to wait for it. However, it looks amazing. Band of Brothers is one of my all time faves. I think if you watch Saving Private Ryan coupled with the Longest Day, then A Bridge too Far, Cazino, The Bridge at Remegen and them maybe Band of Brothers, you have a pretty good overview of hte last few years of the European War. The maybe watch Carry on Up the Khyber for a laugh. Watched Zulu the other week as well...terrific movie. They certainly don't make them like that anymore Liam |

Additionally I'd rate the BBCs "Warriors" over "THL" anyday. The BBC did an excellent job on that one. My Dad who spent a lot of time in Bosnai said it was one of the best bits of telly he had seen. Incidently when he was working with Media Ops he helped show the guys who wrote/made the series around Bosnia. Julien |

Gave me the shivers first time I watched it.
Yes it's a typical Yank guts 'n' glory film but it managed to capture the atmosphere quite well IMHO. Took me right back to driving and doing top cover through Basrah and Alamarah waiting for something to kick off. This post has been edited by mtd350: Mar 18 2010, 11:05 AM |
