Ive noticed over the past few months there has been alot more Airliner modelers on here.

Anyone else fancy a GB?

Could do a theme (737, Airbus, British etc)

Funny enough I was having the same thought last night. Probably not one I would join in unless I could get hold of some wacky decals.

As always 12 to 15 members declaring a build and a couple of hosts and we can sort something.

so....how does this work?

everybody in a group builds a bit of it?

you build your own along side other people. Usually there is a theme ie, all build a 737.

You in??

if your unsure have a look at the other GBs that are running at the momant. If we get enough people well vote on the theme and then a date is set and off we go!

ok...so I build one and everybody else builds one?....yeah if I've got one, I'm in :)

I noticed that too... You should definitely brow-beat Stringbag to join in with the fun, as he's a keen airliner fan. He's actually been threatening to give me an airliner to build (I think?), so if he follows through on the threat, I might join in too. :frantic:

You need to speak to Mish about the green lighting and scheduling of the GB though, which I'd do asap if I were you, to book a slot :)

If you narrow it down to one particular type then there might not be that much responce.

On the other hand. If you open it to "Airline, all eras" then you could get a lot more interest.

Don't forget there was a lot of airline trafic with prop-planes in the 30's that could be build too.

hmmm, I don't have any 'modern' airliners but I certainly have civil markings for stuff that blends the boundaries. A few 'what if's' as well. I was just thinking last night that a GB with a heavy 1/144 focus might be neat.

Count me in if you go for a more open category of passenger aircraft/airliners of all eras, but I've nothing that can fit into a jetliner GB.

Ive not got any ideas but am happy for an anything goes in Civvy/ airliner colours. I fancy a tristar in courtline pink!

As Mish said need about 12 to get it going. Ive offered to host. If a few more come in Ill PM Mish to see if we can get it going.

No need to PM Rich, I keep an eagle eye on all things GB :) So reading the mail so to speak.

Years ago I did a pink Court Tristar all masked and hand painted with my dad's help. Halcyon Days

My brow has taken enough beating lately as it is thank you Mike.

But having said that, if it's a 70's era civil airliner then I'm in.

I don't mind how many engines it has either.

Chris.

I'll be in as long as its not too type specific (especially 737's - I've built one, don't like them enough to build another when there's so many more interesting airliners to build first!)
