TRUSKY1965 Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 (edited) Hi all! I'm new in this forum. My name is Rafael, i'm 43 years old and i am Spanish (from Ibiza). I hope you can excuse my mistake english. I want to show you the british jaguar "Mary Rose", present in the Operation Grandby, the first Gulf war. The model is basically the Hasegawa's kit, with some parts (external stores) from Italeri's and decals from Model Alliance. I hope you enjoy. General view: Some details of the nose: Armament & other stores: Undercarriage & engines: I hope you enjoy! Edited June 14, 2009 by TRUSKY1965
TonyT Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Beautiful as an Ex Jag man I love it Little pipe above the tail cone should possibly be black as it was rubber ( F4 fuel tank vent). BUT I do not know if it got painted for Granby.

Mike in Aotearoa Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Hola Rafael! Bonito Jaguar, este muy bueno mes amigo! There, I bet my Spanish is much worse than your English! I like the weathering on it, not an easy effect to get right but you've done it well. Cheers from NZ Mike A

BUT I do not know if it got painted for Granby. Ditto there with Tony. Ex Jag man and all that. My only other observation and Tony may be able to 'verify'? The Inside airbrake colour wasn't Zinc Chromate green or on the engine doors either. Not sure when the 'Cats' had this sceme applied was done with airbrakes closed then leaving the original camo color inside? TONY? Nicely built btw. Adrian
JagRigger Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 The inside of the airbrakes and ECU door were normally camoflage grey.
TRUSKY1965 Posted May 5, 2009 Author Posted May 5, 2009 (edited) The inside of the airbrakes and ECU door were normally camoflage grey. Ooops! Another mistake! I note this. My documentation was incomplete, and i use green in all these parts. Thank you for the comment! I'm not a jag expert. Edited May 5, 2009 by TRUSKY1965
12jaguar Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 That is a beauty. Hi raphael She looks really nice, but I'm afraid you've got the wrong serial on her, she should be XZ356 regards John
TRUSKY1965 Posted May 14, 2009 Author Posted May 14, 2009 Hi raphaelShe looks really nice, but I'm afraid you've got the wrong serial on her, she should be XZ356 regards John IT'S INCREDIBLE! i purchase this decals in Hannant's, from Modell Alliance, as the best and fine decals for the Granby Operation Jaguars. And you are right, the serial number is mistaken! There's not an easy correction for it. I can't believe. It's not a simple task to make a good model! Thank you very much for your comment.
