Bennygman Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Is it actually a 'weekend' kit? These are usually the stripped down versions with no brass or resin, and just a single decal option. If that's the case it'd just be Airfix plastic and a single decal option - not overly special. I'd imagine this would be a full release, i.e. Airfix plastic tarted up with Eduard etch and resin and five or six (probably multi-national) decal options. Have a look at the recently re-released Spitfire on Hannant's site for an idea of what to expect. If it's not one of these I'd be very disappointed. Steve.

Vlamgat9 Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 The Eduard Jags (they are doing the RAF and AdA versions) are going to be reboxings of the Airfix/Heller mould with some extra resin and brass. Along the same lines as the Mirage 2000 D/Ns and Cs they released last year. Presumably Eduard did some sort of deal with the French insolvency administrator who had custody of lots of these moulds when Heller went belly up.
DamienB Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Hmmm. Bearing in mind the various Paragon resin bits available for this kit and the dirt-cheap price of the kit itself from Antics (still 7.99!), Eduard will have to go some to make this one worthwhile...

Even thou i already have two of the Jags which as Damien mentioned you can pick up for dirty cheap (mine we`re £5 at Telford and £7 from local shop) i`ll still be looking into the weekend kit just to see whats in the box.
