Siggy Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 This is my first post of an article on Britmodeller.com. In 1934 the air ministry (RLM = Reichs-Luftfahrt-Ministerium) were looking for a high speed plane for the Reichspost that was able to carry a large amount of mail and up to 6 passengers with 2 crew. As a high speed postal airplane it did not have any weapons - neither on top nor on the bottom of the fuselage. The base for this conversion is the old Airfix kit. It was quite handsome for this job because it had everything that one would need for this conversion. It had already the right engines and the correct fuselage. In the centre of the two wings was an MG-mount which was sanded off because it was not needed for the prototype. The same happened to the one on the bottom. On the control surfaces of the elevators were auxiliary elevators which were removed after the first crash. Unfortunately this aircraft did not last very long. It survived two crashes. But after the last one it was completely rebuilt and got a twin rudder. Then it had the look that we are used to when we are speaking of the Dornier Do 17. /Users/siggy/Desktop/DSCF1374.JPG/Users/siggy/Desktop/DSCF1375.JPG/Users/siggy/Desktop/DSCF1376.JPG/Users/siggy/Desktop/DSCF1385.JPG/Users/siggy/Desktop/DSCF1392.JPG/Users/siggy/Desktop/DSCF1398.JPG/Users/siggy/Desktop/DSCF1400.JPG Can Anyone please tell me how to post pictures?
