About Me

In the mid-1970s, I was introduced to modelling when my father brought a home a plastic kit.
I can clearly remember, it was a Boeing P-26 Peashooter, we built and brush painted in bright colours (orange).
In the following years I kept on modelling, with the Matchbox kits being my clear favorite.
They were usually built and painted within a day or two and went straight "into battle" together with my army of Airfix, Matchbox and Italeri toy soldiers and some die-cast AVF's on the living room floor.

I stopped modelling when I was 14 or 15 as my interests switched to music, motorbikes, girls ...
In my mid-20s, when clearing the basement, I found a plastic model kit I must have bought many years ago but never started.
There were also some cans of Humbrol paints along with brushes in that box - that was my return to the hobby.

Over the years, I slowly improved my modelling skills, finally bought an airbrush and ventured off into new territory with aftermarket Resin and Photo Etch stuff.

My main interest is on 1/72 late war aircraft and AFV's of the European Theater of war.

I am currently working as a Music Editor for a radio station in Vienna, Austria.

Here's my prefered soundtrack for modelling:
