About Me
I've been building models for as long as I can remember, My 1st model was when I was 8, it was a Boeing 707, but I cant remember the scale or manufacturer!
I used to to have quite an extensive collection of the old Matchbox 1:72 scale aircraft, but I've had to get rid of them all due to space limitations. Sometimes I miss those days of model making for fun! RIP Matchbox!!
I then 'Graduated' onto Airfix 1:72 scale aircraft, all of which I still have, but packed away in boxes!
I then went on to build Tamiya models. I have built 1:24 scale cars, 1:12 scale motorbikes, a 1:72 Perkasa Class MTB and now, I almost exclusively build their 1:35 scale Military Miniatures, with the odd other manufaturer thrown in!
I do all my model making on a very tight budget, scratchbuilding extra details from household materials. I prefer the 'factory fresh' look on my models, but I have been experimenting with different weathering techniques, so, eventually, more of my models will get the 'lived in' look!
I have a youtube account at; bruce3371
and a model making blog at; Armour Models
I have 2 public Facebook photo albums which show my Model Collection; Post War Models WW2 Models
I also a website dedicated to 'Real Life' Armoured Fighting Vehicles;
Armour Fan is a site dedicated to all things to do with armour and armoured warfare.
