I'm an ex Phantom Phixer who now works in the Offshore Oil and Gas Industry bobbing about on construction vessels.
1/72 scale is my scale of choice but age and failing eyesight have taken their toll and I have recently gone over to the dark side and tried a few 1/48 scale kits. (don't tell anyone but I actually enjoyed the experience)
Mostly I am interested in WW2 Luftwaffe aircraft (109's of course, who hasn't gone through that phase?) and the early jet age through to the end of the Cold War. I am slowly working my way through the aircraft types and Squadrons that have been based at RAF Leuchars (my last Posting and nearest RAF Base) since it became a Fighter base in 1950. The list will not be getting any longer unfortunately as the Government will have the Base closed in the next few years ending 100 years of aviation in that location.
My OCD and laziness combined with not being able to model in remote locations (unlike Arkady72) mean that my stash is expanding faster than I can build but maybe I'm not alone there?
