I'm retired - I fear also from aircraft modelling.
Reason Overload - within 2 years I built 3 Valiants, a Vulcan B1A and B.2, a Victor B.1 and B.1A. Then there were a few other 'killer' kits like the 'Gran' Lovochkin La-9 after that I just didn't want to make any more aircraft models although the loft has around 400 waiting for me to recover.
Why 'V' ?. Well I love the British 'V' bombers they were just some of the best military aircraft ever flown. I also love Vickers products from the immediate pre WWII period right up to their demise as a seperate aircraft manufacturing company. The Valiant although a simplfied 'V' bomber design it also broke much new ground But was delivered on time and within budget. Then the VC-10 what a fine service they have given.
So apart from 3 sons, my baby being 38, an ex racing cyclist, ex rally driver, ex aircraft modeller, there's not much more to say !!
